So-called Palestinian Work Accidents are when a terrorist is killed or seriously injured through his or his group’s error while preparing to attack Israel.
We have another apparent entry, five entries to be precise, Commanders of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command:
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine–General Command (PFLP-GC) is a Syria-based terrorist group that former Syrian Army officer Ahmad Jibril established when he split from the PFLP in 1968. Like the PFLP, it combines Arab nationalism with Marxist-Leninist ideology and is focused on destroying Israel and removing Western influence from the Middle East—ultimately establishing a Marxist Palestinian state. Jibril claimed that his new group would focus more on fighting and less on politics.During the 1970s and 1980s, PFLP-GC carried out dozens of attacks in Europe and the Middle East, primarily against perceived Israeli interests. The group shifted its focus in the early 1990s to conducting small-scale attacks in Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. The PFLP-GC has not claimed responsibility for any attacks since 2015 but fought alongside Syrian regime forces during the Syrian civil war until at least 2020 and has expressed support for Iran and Lebanese Hizballah….The US State Department designated PFLP-GC as a foreign terrorist organization on 8 October 1997. The State Department designated the group as a terrorist organization under Executive Order 13224 (for the purpose of levying financial sanctions against it) on 31 October 2001.
The PFLP-GC is an even more radical splinter group of the PFLP, a terrorist group popular among anti-Israel activists on American campuses and of which Rasmea Odeh was the first female military member.
Five commanders of PFLP-GC were blown up in an unexplained explosion at a base in Lebanon that originally was blamed on Israel.
Israel denies involvement, and other sources now confirm Israel was not involved.

Five members of a Palestinian terror group in Lebanon were killed in a mysterious blast blamed on Israel on Wednesday morning, Arabic-language media reported. Israeli officials denied any involvement and a Lebanese security source said the explosion was accidental.According to reports by Al Jazeera and other networks, the blast occurred at a base belonging to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC), near the town of Qousaya in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, near the border with Syria.PFLP-GC accused Israel of carrying out a strike at the base. Images posted to social media showed a crater, a damaged building, and a damaged car, apparently as a result of the explosion.Israeli officials, however, said that the Israel Defense Forces did not carry out any strike in the area.A Lebanese security source who spoke to AFP said the blast was accidental. “An old rocket exploded in an arms depot on the base and five fighters were killed,” the source said.

This appears to be a classic “work accident” – the munitions exploded as they were being moved, Reuters reports:
A PFLP-GC statement on Wednesday said five of its members were killed in an Israeli air strike on a site controlled by the group near the border. The group’s spokesman in Damascus Anwar Raja told Reuters an Israeli strike on the Lebanese town of Qusaya had killed five members, including fighters, and wounded 10.
A representative for the PFLP-GC in Lebanon Abu Kifah Ghazi said airplanes had been heard over the group’s position all night.
But one Palestinian security source and a Lebanese security source told Reuters the deaths were the result of explosives and ammunition detonating as the PFLP-GC members were moving them.
Lebanese media also report this was a work accident:
“An old rocket exploded in an arms depot on the base and five fighters were killed,” the security source said, requesting anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the media….In Beirut, a Lebanese military official said the explosion was the result of a blast within the base, adding that there was no airstrike. An official with a regional group allied with the Syrian government, said the explosion was the result of a “human error” that occurred when militants were handling ammunition. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity.
