Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is on the 2020 campaign trail, and she is quickly learning that there is no escaping her well-documented ethnic fraud in repeatedly claiming to be Native American, apparently to further her career. While attending a campaign event in Georgia, Warren was heckled by a man who shouted "Why did you lie?"  Holding up a sign with "1/2020" written on it, the man repeatedly shouted at her as he was escorted out of the venue by security.

In an obscure night Fevered with love's anxiety (O hapless, happy plight!) I went, none seeing me Forth from my house, where all things quiet be

These are the words of St. John of the Cross's poem titled "The Dark Night." The poem describes the unknowability of God and the necessity to take a step into faith. In contemporary storytelling the term has taken on the meaning of being the darkest descent a character must take in their journey before being fully redeemed.

Last fall, I reported that Pope Francis held an emergency summit with U.S. bishops over the growing sex abuse crisis and cover-up scandal that has impacted the Roman Catholic Church after revelations by a Pennsylvania grand jury and the details offered in a letter published by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, who served a a Vatican diplomat in Washington DC from 2011 to 2016.

The Jussie Smollett story of a racial attack was too politically convenient to be true. And as with investments, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. We have covered several dozen hoaxes, including The Great Oberlin College Racism Hoax of 2013. The Jussie Smollett story had all the indications of a hoax, of seeming too politically convenient and useful to be true.

Opponents of President Trump's declaration of a national emergency are practically orgasmic over his statement during his press conference that "I didn't need to do this . . . . " That statement supposedly will be devastating in court as an admission that there is no actual emergency. But as with so many things #NeverTrump, the words are plucked out of a longer sentence and statement in which Trump makes the case for the declaration being necessary because a wall/fencing cannot wait given the crisis. The full statement, which I quote below, will be the one in front of a court, and an appeals court, and ultimately the Supreme Court.

India vowed revenge against Pakistan after a suicide attack killed 44 Indian soldiers in the Muslim-majority region of Kashmir on Friday. The Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed, or the Army of Mohammed, claimed responsibility for the car bombing. The Indian media called it the worst attack on armed forces in recent decades.

Republicans aren't the only ones concerned about Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez's complete ignorance of basic economics, or the fact that she's taking her horrible ideas mainstream. AOC fought against Amazon's bid to build a headquarters in New York City, prompting Amazon to back out of the potential deal. Had the deal gone through, Amazon would've brought roughly 25,000 new jobs to the community, not to mention the other immeasurable economic benefits. Worse still, AOC celebrated Amazon's decision to look elsewhere. Amazon and other New York City politicians were not kind in their criticism of Ocasio-Cortez.
