Flashback 2020: Six Months of Antifa/BLM Looting, Rioting, and Chaos
If there is any “two systems of justice” situation here, it’s that there are one set of rules for right-wing rioters and none for left-wing rioters who terrorized entire communities for months on end in 2020.

On Thursday, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris used their platforms as the next POTUS and VPOTUS of the United States to gaslight the American people with their dishonest comparison of Wednesday’s Capitol Hill riots to the Antifa/Black Lives Matter looting and riots that happened in Democrat-run cities for over six months in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd.
Biden threw gasoline on the fire by proclaiming that “No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn’t have been treated very, very differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol.”
Harris did her part in lighting a match as well, declaring that “We witnessed two systems of justice when we saw one that let extremists storm the United States Capitol, and another that released tear gas on peaceful protesters last summer.”
In reality, in most instances the radicals in BLM and Antifa were allowed to get away with their heinous actions last year, even being treated as heroes by the mainstream press and Democrats – some of whom, like Harris and the Biden campaign, promoted their bail funds.
If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota. https://t.co/t8LXowKIbw

This is a cautionary tale about what happens when you normalise political violence. Don’t stoke the flames of political polarisation, back terrorist paramilitaries like Antifa, etc., & then act shocked when rule of law starts disintegrating. Just awful. https://t.co/JJy8uv87Gr

On the other hand, the violent Capitol Hill rioters from Wednesday who took things way too far will have the book thrown at them, and deservedly so.
Do you see anyone you recognize? The #FBI is still seeking information to help identify individuals who actively instigated violence on January 6 in Washington, D.C. Some on the left and a few on the right have suggested that comparing the Antifa/BLM riots to the Capitol Hill riots in terms of how the media and Democrats viewed them is unhelpful “whataboutism,” but it’s not, for reasons explained below:
The Capitol riot was VERY BAD, and everyone condemns it. But, dismissing 2020's riots as "just burning small businesses" and "totally different" is dishonest. Rioters burned down an active precinct with cops initially in it, set up a literal city-state, and killed 34 people.

(2) Attacks on targets nearly as symbolic as the Capitol, with FAR more damage done, were common. In addition to CHAZ (!) and the 3rd Precinct, rioters attacked the Portland federal courthouse with mortars for 100 days, and looted the Mag Mile. Mob rule IS bad, or it isn’t.

They burned down the Capital Church.

"BLM protestors would've been treated differently"
Correct:
They'd be celebrated by the press and lionized by politicians.

It is not “whataboutism” to point out that today would not have happened had the rioting in the summer not been defended and normalized. To pretend that this happened in a vacuum is insane. BLM took over a police station and burned it to the ground. And the media defended it.

If there is any “two systems of justice” situation here, it’s unquestionably that there are one set of rules for right-wing rioters and none for BLM and Antifa rioters who terrorized entire communities for months on end, took over entire city blocks and police precincts, and threw incendiary devices at federal courthouses while Democrats and the media enthusiastically egged them on and gaslit the country on a regular basis as the fires raged.
Here are CNN and MSNBC hosts and guests defending violent protesters this summer. The same condemnation should occur for all violent protesters regardless of their politics. But that doesn’t happen in today’s media: pic.twitter.com/s4IxVXXjDl

Democrats and the media coddled Antifa/BLM rioters at a time when stepping up and speaking out strongly against them might have made a difference. Republicans not only repeatedly condemned last year’s looting and riots, but did the same with the Capitol Hill violence that happened earlier this week.
That’s something to remember the next time anyone on the left or in the media tries to pretend they have any moral high ground here. They most certainly do not.

No, no remember Jerry says this is a right-wing myth.
Dollar value of damage caused by Trump supporting mostly peaceful protestors in DC over the course of a few hours on Jan 6 — probably less than 100k to replace broken windows, at the prices government pays.
Dollar value of damage cause by Biden and Dem supporting Antifa-BLM mostly peaceful protesters over the course of several months in hundreds of cities accross the US — hundreds of billions, at least.
How much unlawful conduct was by Trump supporters and how much was by Antifa, BLM and other Democrat operatives?
I think that those operatives were sent by Dems to create the illusion of insurrection, furthermore, I think that there needs to be retribution.
The biggest estimate I’ve seen is below
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8740609/amp/Rioting-140-cities-George-Floyds-death-cost-insurance-industry-2-BILLION.html
Circa 2 billion, not sure if there are other estimates
Dhimmi-crats are the last people in America who should be lecturing anyone about political behavior, especially after their antics of the last year, which saw businesses looted and destroyed, neighborhoods burned to the ground, police officers attacked and blinded and synagogues desecrated and vandalized — all despicable acts of totalitarian violence and hatred, committed by Dhimmi-crats, and, further, behavior that far from being swiftly and unequivocally condemned by Dhimmi-crat “leaders,” was, instead — contemptibly, indefensibly, perversely and fecklessly — enabled, encouraged and praised as morally upright by these despicable reprobates.
I forgot to mention that last year’s violence committed by Dhimmi-crats also included innocent citizens murdered in the streets. Let’s not forget that.
Levin last night played a sound clip of Harris urging on BLM to keep rioting and said they shouldn’t stop and will continue after the ele ction was over.
For the moment.
There is a critical difference between this summer’s riots and the incursion into the capitol building. The intent of this summer’s riots (according to their organizers) was to disrupt law and order in this country, and to destroy its institutions. The purpose of the D.C. protest was to intimidate politicians into adhering to the law, abiding by their oaths of office, and to force them to expose criminal activity that they (the protesters), honestly and in good faith, believe took place. They were protesting in defense of the law. Morally, there’s a world of difference between the two. They have complaints that are directly analogous to those that fueled the summer riots – they’ve been ignored, abused, lied to, insulted, and physically set upon – but they were demanding the enforcement of the law and the restoration of our institutions, not their destruction. BLM’s and Antifa’s complaints arise because of their support for those who break the law and deserve many of the consequences they experience. The D.C. protesters’ complaints arise because of their support for the law and the Constitution, and their demand that government officials adhere to both. In some ways the two sets of uprisings are superficially similar. But their causes and purposes diverge so completely and dramatically that they aren’t comparable at all.
There’s a point at which the use of lethal violence against those in power is morally justified and events like the Warsaw Uprising prove the point (as does the American Revolution – it’s ironic that the officers of a government born of violent revolt against lawful authority should rail so heartily against others doing the same, and for the same reasons). Although we may quibble about when that point is reached, we should acknowledge that the level of violence during the D.C. protest was greatly constrained by the nature of the protesters’ respect for law and order. If it had not been, D.C. would be smoldering heap of rubble.
Once again, note the pictures of the “rioters” in the Capitol filing meekly along between the velvet ropes while the identified BLM leader stand in the foreground outside the ropes.
I think this is where the issues become more complex. You believe it was in defence of the law but that’s only on the basis that their was election fraud. Take that argument away and it looks really bad. So try seeing it from the other side and you get a different angle and therefore the response becomes different. I’m not going to go into the election fraud aspect what I’m trying to say is you need to see the issues from different angles otherwise you risk hyperbole.
The Democrats organized the 2017 POTUS Trump inauguration day riots…intimidated and restricted access to the ceremony.
