In the year since the death of George Floyd, 37-year-old activist and Black Lives Matter (BLM) co-founder Patrisse Cullors has become a household name. Now, she's finally announced—as the last of the three original co-founders to do so—that she's stepping down from her role as the director of BLM umbrella group, the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF). Nevertheless, with massive enterntainment conglomerate contracts and the tacit endorsement (not to mention funding) of Big Tech, Cullors is poised to be even more influential in the coming months than she has been ever before.

ABC News reported an internal memo said Secretary of State Antony Blinken authorized U.S. embassies and consulates to fly the Black Lives Matter flag on the anniversary of George Floyd's death:
All U.S. diplomatic posts are "strongly encouraged" to use the department's resources "to promote policy objectives to advance racial equity and support for underserved communities," especially on May 25 and during June to commemorate Juneteenth, according to Blinken's memo.

The Gresham-Barlow School District (GBSD) in Oregon will vote on whether to change its flag display policy on May 27, pending legal review by the Oregon School Boards Association. If approved, all schools in this district in a suburb of Portland could display a Black Lives Matter (BLM) flag and a Progressive Pride flag, on school grounds and in all classrooms, along with the statutorily required American flag, Oregon flag, and POW/MIA flag.
