Portland Rioters Wheel Guillotine Through Suburbs, Execute American Flag

It’s about revolution, not Black Lives Mattering.

https://twitter.com/BGOnTheScene/status/1297404831003418624

On Saturday, a horde of black-clad rioters marched through a Portland suburb wheeling a guillotine and shouting at the people watching in horror from their homes.

When they finally arrived, guillotine in tow, at their destination in front of a police precinct, they burned Americans flags as they rallied around their guillotine and cheered.

If it sounds like parody to you, you’re not alone.  I had to double-check just to make sure this cartoonish nonsense actually happened.  It did.

Who knows what they expect to happen with bizarre displays like this.  No one thinks they are going to lop off the heads of law enforcement officers in front of the precinct house.

Ultimately, it’s more comical and infantile than intimidating, but maybe that’s what they are going for?  I mean, they do have a teddy bear strapped to the guillotine, so maybe they intend to look silly,  like a cartoon rendition of the French Revolution?

It’s provocation. Like driving through residential neighborhood late at night with horns blaring and radios blasting (and confident that police will do nothing), they desperately hope to provoke someone into doing something stupid.

Nice revolution they have going there, hope they can back it up someday.

This little display of destroying our republic of which the flag stands for and pledging no allegiance to our country, but would betray us all in a heartbeat. This is the democrat’s platform on which Biden and Harris are running.

Sooner or later someone is going to sjow up with a shotgun and fire a dozen rounds into the crowd.

And, that’s okay with me.

No, because every pull of the trigger will injure or wound an innocent father of seven who was just getting his life back together to join the priesthood, or an innocent mother of seven who had just gotten out of prison and hoped to reunite with her children once the drug tests cleared, etc…

The press will be 100% on the side of the rioters, and will manufacture whatever background they need to make the angels look like devils, and vice versa.

I sincerely hope the shooter shoots ONLY those for whom kindergarten graduation pictures are available.

We saw the same provocation when the mourners painted a halo and wings on thug George Floyd at his funeral.

      Moltin’ season be coming soon…

Remember that “itching powder” they used to sell as a prank? Load up some shells full of that.

Nobody dead, everybody wishing they were.

I think that by now a lot of people agree.

If the rioters hoped to provoke a violent response they could use to scream “Police brutality!” and “Fascist repression!”, they needed it to happen sooner rather than later.

By now most people have seen through the lie that these are “peaceful protests” and when the authorities do start shooting, people are likely to just say “Well it’s about time!”

I think this is pretty accurate. I was watching an intriguing documentary on the ’60s a while ago, and while it was served up with a hugely leftist slant, I can see through it and was struck by the man-on-the-street interviews about Kent State. The random people asked about the shootings all said they agreed with them and were not at all bothered, some even said they should have shot more people sooner. Obviously, it was a complex situation, but the American people were not horrified by Kent State (at least not enough to join the left in its revolution), the radical left was, however. And that is why, I think, it marked the official end of the ’60s-spawned radical anti-America revolution. They failed to get the public on their side, and they knew that if Kent State didn’t do it, nothing would. They don’t want another Kent State. They want something that would actually work for them. So they keep pushing, but all they do is beclown themselves.

Actually a lot of people were horrified by Kent State. Don’t take a few anecdotal interviews on a documentary as a definitive statement that there wasn’t a general outrage. And then there were also the anti-war rallies that finally helped bring an end to the Vietnam fiasco. Peace signs, VW vans with hippies and all that… unless you believe that it wasn’t a fiasco and helped American in some bizarre way. Maybe you still think that it was better to stop the commies in the rice paddies than on the beaches of California.

The tailored optics here “horrible” …. but edited to strip away the bricks thrown…. much like “Bloody Boston” and the Redcoats that John Adams defended. Considering the major contribution of the Soviets in the protest movement and all…. the critical point was Tet ’68 and Cronkite telling mainstream America the war was lost while in reality, it was a military disaster for the North. The PRESS was the key player to change the minds of Middle America. The Left got us into the war, the Left expanded the war, and the Left finally gave South Vietnam to their fellow travelers after the Paris Treaty.

Ironically, the Commies invaded California anyway, but none of them were Vietnamese.

Indeed so, UserP, and if Trump doesn’t have the smarts to have an entire evening devoted to video replays of the mayhem in the ciities under Democrat control, with the simple, line: “you want more of this, America? Elect Slo Joe and his ????

Marcus, it’s a brilliant idea. If he were to do it the networks would be put in a really tough spot. That is, of course, if anyone besides Fox is going to carry it.

These people have homes too. Just sayin’… One thing they can do is hire security people to lie low and follow these people when they leave. With all of the electronics available, how hard could it be to put together a list?

The most terrifying enemy is the one they never see but know is their lurking. Just let them know they are being “lurked” on at home. Give them something to think about when “shit” starts happening to them. Are they going to call the police? Or maybe those BLM trannies?

amatuerwrangler in reply to Pasadena Phil. | August 23, 2020 at 7:31 pm

I’ve been thinking this for months. Back-track them to their nest. Then they start suffering accidents, maybe electric troubles in the wiring start a fire. These things happen.

Imagine how many drones could be launched to buzz over their “peaceful” riots. That alone would be very unsettling, especially if it is followed up by a lot of lurking. It doesn’t take much to play a better game of psychological warfare. For every actual “action” they would be imagining ten others in their paranoia.

Combine that with the “Bikers for Trump” and “Proud Boys”, they will have plenty to think about. Even better would be getting the neighborhoods organized for a show of arms as the commies approach the neighborhood being buzzed by drones.

We just have to be smarter than they are and remember that we have home filed advantage. Lots of possibilities for further tactics. And no shooting nor skull cracking…. yet.

FOTin1943 in reply to Pasadena Phil. | August 24, 2020 at 1:55 pm

I wonder if these anarchists parading as protesters or demonstrators have a “home”? George Soros and his ilk are probably feeding and housing them out of the way somewhere – before and after arriving in each of the awful, D-controlled, lefty-loving cities.

Since the French Revolution, the left has been the source of virtually all political evils, and continues to be so today.

But the idea they hate America is just a myth — right, Nadler the Hutt?

Morning Sunshine in reply to n.n. | August 23, 2020 at 9:56 pm

seems to me that a guillotine is similar in intimidation as a burning cross

Except Democrats were totally free to literally terrorize and murder black (and white) people in their KKK robes and hoods (yes, the KKK frequently murdered, and yes, lynched white people). By comparison, today’s soy-boy weenies are a joke. They get run out of every town they try to take (and it’s so hilarious!). They will have to stay in Democrat-run cities, and there’s not much there to do now. The streets have been cleared, the businesses looted and ruined, and the poor ole antifa freaks aren’t welcome anywhere else. Bleed me a mini violin chord.

I agree, I think it is intended to intimidate. That said, this is still America, and we are still armed. If the super-capable, very well-trained Japanese forces declined to raid our shores because we are armed, what chance do the antifa/BLM hordes stand? Zero.

No one is intimidated by their crazy guillotine antics because most of us know that we will not be their victims. Ever.

These are punk kids, lunatic anarchist nuts who have romanticized “revolution” and think they are up to the task. They are not. A fact they will likely learn no matter the outcome of the November election.

“If the super-capable, very well-trained Japanese forces declined to raid our shores because we are armed”

If by “raid,” you mean “invade,” that wasn’t the reason.

alaskabob in reply to guinspen. | August 24, 2020 at 2:07 pm

Japan did bombard the West Coast. But they did invade Alaska and the campaign to drive them out was second only to Okinawa in casualties. If Nagumo has let the Third Wave finish off the oil tank farm at Pearl then invasion was more likely.

Or a carted oven, for that matter.

No, wait, how ’bout a “shower” room on wheels? Now there’s an hilarious — comical, clownish, cartoonish –sight, no?

If only the uncivil, morbid, grotesque and ghoulish attempt to intimidate and terrorize the peaceful masses were so risible, and such a darn theatrical farce.

If only . . . and not, I beg to disagree, an intentional prelude on the Keystone Cop’s part, of that and wishfully worse terminal things to come to the unwoke.

….and yet… I am being serious here…everyone of those homeowners will find a reason to pull the DNC lever on election day

Well wheeling around a guillotine through residential neighborhoods on the way to a police precinct where they burn flags ….sure it’s good old fashioned fun for democrats.

Heck, in the old days they didn’t have fancy store bought masks. They had to make their own out pillow cases with matching robes.

Nowadays these democrats can just buy their outfit before they go out and terrorize selected members of the community. That time savings paid off because they constructed a guillotine to bring which must be more efficient than a time consuming lynching.

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”

One the Two Cities in this remake is obviously Portland.

Any thoughts on which American city should play peaceful London to Portland’s terrorized Paris?

“One [of] the Two Cities …”

I could have sworn that word wasn’t omitted when I typed that comment. Weird, the tricks the mind plays.

Edit function desperately needed by old farts like me!

Hmmm, I think that there is no major Anmerican city currently under siege that is not run by Democrats.

BTW: no edit function for comments is in the works or coming. See the prof’s posts on discussion options and why we have chosen and are pleased with our choice in terms of LI comments.

CorkyAgain in reply to Fuzzy Slippers. | August 24, 2020 at 3:53 pm

Agreed, all of the American cities currently under siege are run by the modern-day Jacobins.

To find the analogue to Dickens’s comparatively-untroubled London, we’d have to look to the Republican-run cities and states.

      France:Blue as England:Red

henrybowman in reply to Fuzzy Slippers. | August 24, 2020 at 8:54 pm

Well, name a major American city that is run by Republicans. I suspect you won’t find many. It’s in the very nature of cities to become hives, and magnets for the unfortunate.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to TheFineReport.com. | August 24, 2020 at 9:55 am

I looked at the video. I saw no gun on the runner. If he had a gun, I did not see him threaten anyone with it. I saw no imminent threat of the use of deadly force by the runner that would justify the policeman’s deadly force use of his firearm. My initial impression is this may not be a justified shooting.

I am all for the police, and I know it’s a really tough job, but I have to call it like I see it.

I do not see, however, reason for criminal charges levied against the officer. Perhaps he needs reassignment to a position that does not require carriage of and potential use of a fire arm.

Now a change of subject. Notice the bullet, presumably a 9mm, passed all the way through the runner with little initial effect. The man kept running for a while. He maintained strength and capacity to draw a weapon, and fight. My point is, if you are in an actual use of deadly force position, choose your weapon wisely, and understand its capabilities and effects.

But back to point, only use deadly force when absolutely necessary, and as a last resort, to end the imminent threat of death or seriously bodily harm to yourself or to someone else. You have to live, or die, with the consequences of your choice and actions. The second amendment provides you with awesome power. Use it well and wisely and with due reflection, consideration, planning, and practice, well before needing to employing it.

This is for the keyboard warriors who like to say what they “will do”: Walk softly and carry a big stick.

Don’t misunderstand, because I’m just as disgusted at all the BLM/antifa action as you are. The internet is forever. You might want to be a little more discerning in what you post.

I’m NOT saying you shouldn’t hold your opinions. I AM saying you might want to dial back the aggressiveness a notch. For example, saying it’s fine for someone to show up with a shot gun and start assaulting the crowd isn’t wise and plays into the anarchists’ plans.

Use caution, y’all. Just sayin’.

    DSHornet,

Good advice. Not to mention I suspect that some, not all, of the more over the top posts are from keyboard warriors who haven’t seen much war, strife or conflict.

Taking down a legitimate threat is one thimg, taking out someone without positive id, as a threat is foolhardy. Those of us who have operated under various ROE, sometimes stringent sometimes very loose may have a better appreciation of the distinction. As well as actual trigger time. No substitute for experience, IMO.

ScottTheEngineer | August 24, 2020 at 9:11 am

Anyone know how much cash the rioters get that’s handed to them when they get off the buses? I haven’t seen that reported yet.

Brave Sir Robbin | August 24, 2020 at 9:21 am

Nevertheless they should be taken seriously and dealt with by law enforcement and the courts promptly before it becomes necessary to shoot them. They will walk to what ever line we allow. The line should be drawn well before the point when people need to resort to violent self-defense. After all, is this not the social compact that was made, that we grant a government certain powers to protect our person and our rights? I hope the government does not dissolve that compact.

Communists love to hide behind a facade with a teflon name, two of which come to mind: BLM and Joe Biden!!

Businesses are leaving Portland because the city isn’t doing anything to stop the rioting, looting, and destruction.

Mayor Wheeler responds by blaming it all on Proud Boys and other right-wing extremists. Yeah, right.
