The last time we checked on the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the group was at the center of a blue-vs-blue drama after it hired a bikini clad women to hand out non-dairy treats to the crowd at Wimbledon. Feminists were angry, claiming the organization was objectifying women. Now, in response to pressure from PETA, Mondelez International (the parent company of Nabisco), has redesigned the packaging of its Barnum's Animals crackers to "free" them from cages.
PETA, which has been protesting the use of animals in circuses for more than 30 years, wrote a letter to Mondelez in the spring of 2016 calling for a redesign.

Data from Swedish state TV station, SVT, revealed that 58% of men convicted of rape and attempted rape in Sweden were born abroad. From the BBC:
The Mission Investigation programme, due to be broadcast on Wednesday by SVT, said the total number of offenders over five years was 843. Of those, 197 were from the Middle East and North Africa, with 45 coming from Afghanistan.

We have written many times about how the Tamimi Clan from Nabi Saleh presents a false image to willing western leftist dupes. The image the Tamimis present, which is lapped up by visiting activists, is of a peaceful, non-violent family struggling against the evil Israelis. The reality is quite different.

Back in July, Kemberlee blogged about CNN's "explosive" report that, according to "sources," President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen claimed the then-presidential candidate knew about the June 2016 meetings at Trump Tower between Donald Trump, Jr., and Russians. Cohen's lawyer Lanny Davis appeared on CNN on Wednesday night and directly refuted the story.

A couple of weeks ago, the Democratic National Committee voted to accept donations from the fossil fuel industry. That was a big deal to the voters who make up the Democrats' base, especially younger supporters. A few times a year, we see student activists at various schools demanding that their college or university divest from the fossil fuel industry. This decision stings for the left even more because the DNC is reversing a decision they made to ban fossil fuel donations just a few months ago. When asked about this decision, Elizabeth Warren provided a non-answer.

Democrats are split over recent allegations of domestic abuse recently pinned to Rep. Keith Ellison, the DNC's deputy chair. Former girlfriend Karen Monahan claims Ellison dragged her off a bed while yelling profanities, an event that precipitated their breakup. At the point where Ellison allegedly grabbed her and began pulling her off the bed, Monahan began filming the encounter on her phone.

This week’s case is not so much a case as it is a cautionary tale about the risks of relying upon the purported use-of-force law expertise of others based solely on their job title, and dangers of not you yourself being educated on that law. I warn students in every class that certain job titles, like lawyer, cop, or firearms instructor, do not guarantee that a person in those fields knows a darned thing about use-of-force law.

On Tuesday, authorities in Iowa believe they discovered the body of 20-year-old college student Mollie Tibbetts, who went missing on July 18 while on a jog. A medical examiner still needs to conduct an autopsy, but the authorities arrested an illegal immigrant and charged him with first degree murder. CNN host John Berman asked Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) about immigration laws and she responded with some sympathy for Tibbetts' family, but then went on an attack on how illegal immigrants are treated at the border.
