Tuesday was a big day for the American court system, as the Paul Manafort trial concluded with verdicts and Trump's personal attorney plead guilty to an assortment of charges that are still being analyzed. While the media focused on the legal drama on the East Coast, a Congressman from the Southern California area and his wife were indicted on campaign finance charges and fraud.

The head of Germany’s leading Jewish organisation criticized the use of "antisemitic stereotypes" in the school textbooks. Josef Schuster, president of The Central Council of Jews in Germany, slammed the Germany's schools and textbook publishers for doing too little to root out the problem. Many textbook illustrations in German textbooks resemble the anti-Semitic depictions from the Nazi-era newspaper "Der Stürmer," while at the same time failing to provide the appropriate historical context to the imagery, Schuster said.

Andrew Wheeler, the acting head of the EPA, signed a proposal that will undo President Barack Obama's Clean Power Plan and establish new rules for coal plants. From The Washington Examiner:
The Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday morning released its plan, renamed the “Affordable Clean Energy Rule,” that the agency said would provide $400 million in annual benefits, while reducing carbon emission levels by up to 1.5 percent by 2030. President Trump is expected to tout the new rule at a rally in coal-friendly West Virginia Tuesday night.

University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbets went missing more than a month ago. The police discovered her body today and charged an illegal immigrant with first degree murder. From The Daily Caller:
Cristhian Bahena Rivera, 24, was charged with murder. He had resided in the area for four to seven years, officials said. He led investigators to the body’s location after confirming that he interacted with her while she was running and she felt threatened by him. Rivera said he “blacked out” at some point during their interaction, officials said.

On Sunday, the #MeToo movement received a shock when a report dropped that claimed Asia Argento, one its prominent members, allegedly sexually abused a 17-year-old male and paid him off. Argento not only denies the assault, but she has thrown her former boyfriend Anthony Bourdain under the bus and insists he paid off the accuser. Yeah, the same Bourdain that took his own life this year and is not here to defend himself.

Antifa descended on Portland, Oregon recently to protest a right wing rally. One of the protesters who joined them happened to be carrying an American flag. Before the day was over, he was clubbed in the head by another member of the protest.
