Trump 2020 Tag

President Donald Trump's 2020 campaign released a scathing statement accusing Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey of extortion to stop Thursday's rally at Target Center. Frey voiced his opposition to Trump's rally in September. He said he would normally welcome a sitting president, but Trump's "rhetoric has made it clear that he does not value the perspectives or rights of Minneapolis' diverse communities."

Congress has long had an abysmal approval rating, and that has long included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).  We've written here at LI about the poor approval rating carried by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).  In March, Kemberlee blogged that even in New York, President Trump's approval rating is higher than Ocasio-Cortez's. It's little wonder that President Trump wants the AOC plus three "Squad" to be the face of the Democrat party.

Former Massachusetts Governor and Libertarian vice presidential candidate Bill Weld has formed an exploratory committee for a 2020 presidential bid to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020. From Fox News:
“I think there definitely is a path to victory, but you want to test the market a bit. I look forward to talking to a variety of people. You want to make sure the motion doesn’t fail for lack of a second but it won’t,” Weld said Thursday evening in an interview with the New Hampshire Union Leader. “Everyone I have talked to says you are running as an R, count me in.”
