Republicans and Democrats have always kept their eye on Ohio because the state generally votes for the winner of presidential elections. The state has not only on four occasions. But now it seems the Democrats have brushed aside the key state, especially with their rush to impeach President Donald Trump. An Axios focus group, which took place in an Ohio county Trump lost, found that impeachment has outraged voters in Ohio.

On Saturday, 24-year-old Connor Betts went on a shooting rampage in Dayton, OH. He killed nine people, including his sister, and injured 27. Like other murderers, the actions of Betts did not surprise those who knew him. In fact, classmates and acquaintances knew for a long time Betts had it in him to cause so much death. His Twitter account lavished praise on Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and hatred on President Donald Trump along with ICE and the police.

There have been two mass shootings this weekend.  One, in El Paso, Texas, left 20 people dead and over 24 others injured.  The second one took place in Dayton, Ohio and left at least nine people dead and more than two dozen injured.

Nancy Segula lives in Garfield Heights, Ohio. In 2017 she lost her husband. Around the same time, her neighbors moved and left their outdoor cats behind. Segula began feeding the cats saying she felt bad for them and also enjoyed the company. She told local news that she had reached out to local organizations for help with the cats without any success.

Following the truly horrific 2015 revelations that Planned Parenthood was harvesting baby parts and haggling over baby brains for profit, Republican governors across the nation moved to ban taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood.  In February 2016, then-Ohio Governor John Kasich signed into law a bill that restricted state funding to Planned Parenthood. While a lower court had previously blocked the state from stripping $1.5 million in funding from the nation's top abortion provider, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that Ohio can indeed defund Planned Parenthood.
