Best Freudian slip ever or THE best Freudian slip ever?
We report, you decide.
According to Slate, at an NAACP banquet in Charleston, South Carolina Friday night, Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton used "president" in lieu of "prisoner."

When it comes to social justice, no one is immune to the warriors' tactics of persuasion---not even Hillary Clinton.
Yesterday, Black Lives Matter protesters interrupted an "African-Americans For Hillary" event with chants of "BLACK LIVES MATTER" and various hymns. Clinton was forced to pause her speech to address the interruption---and of course went into full pander mode.

Because it's the Friday before a raucous drinking holiday, the State Department released today 7000 new pages of messages (or, 4432 individual messages) pulled from Hillary Clinton's homebrew email server---including 268 more classified emails.
That brings the grand total of classified messages housed on the former Secretary's unsecured server to over 600.
Most of the messages released are from 2011-2012, and reports show that none of them are related to the attack on the American outpost in Benghazi.
More from the Washington Free Beacon:
State Department spokesman John Kirby said that none of the emails now marked classified “were marked classified at the time they were sent or received.” Most of the emails set for release Friday were sent or received by the former secretary of state between 2011 and 2012, save a few from 2009 and 2010 that haven’t been made public in earlier releases.

When Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton had an event in South Florida earlier this month, he Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) sent a staffer armed with a video camera and a devastatingly damaging question: "Can you name her accomplishments?"
On Wednesday, RPOF released a YouTube video showing Hillary supporters enthusiastically voicing their loyalty to her, but then stumbling when asked to name her top two accomplishments as either Secretary of State or when she represented New York in the Senate.
"To be honest with you, I'm not too sure," says one supporter. "I couldn't tell you," says another.
"Ummm, well, I'll be pretty honest with you, I didn't follow her very much when she was involved with those positions," says the third Hillary fan shown in the video compelled to "honest" about being unable to name any of her accomplishments.
The very few specific answers were not incredibly helpful, with one supporter mentioning that while he felt she had improved women's rights in the Middle East, the "worst thing" she had done as Secretary of State was "Benghazi," while his friend smirks and agrees.

Last week on MSNBC's Rachel Maddow show, Hillary Clinton downplayed recent scandals at the Department of Veterans Affairs which resulted in the deaths of vets who were waiting for care.
Since then, a growing chorus is calling for Clinton to apologize. CNN reports:
Veterans' groups fire back at Clinton's VA comments
Some veterans groups are firing back after a comment Hillary Clinton made about the Department of Veterans Affairs scandal. The former secretary of state suggested in an interview late last week that the controversy which shook the VA last year was overblown, and Republicans used it to serve their own agenda.
"It's not been as widespread as it has been made out to be," Clinton said Friday on MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show" when asked about the scandal and how she would fix the VA.
Yet the federal government's own report contradicts Clinton's remarks.

The Clinton campaign has gone full Hilloween.*
*I hate myself for using that word.
Hate it or not, though, it's happening. This week Hillary Clinton's campaign pushed out a list of 5 "DIY Hillary Clinton costumes" guaranteed to make your Halloween a little more...egalitarian? Search me.
You can choose between "Park Ridge Hillary" (white collared blouse and plaid jumper) or "Hipster Hillary" (striped pants and glasses) or "Cold Shoulder Hillary" (a weirdly appropriately-named combination of a cut-up turtleneck and red lipstick)---and away we go!
They're really flogging the concept:

In the twilight of his administration, President Obama is renewing his fight for stricter gun control laws.
Tuesday, President Obama will travel to his hometown Chicago. But he's not there to visit family, the President is headed to Chicago for one reason -- to renew the fight for gun control.
The LA Times reports President Obama will be speaking to the International Association of Chiefs of Police and there he will make his case for tougher gun laws.
Obama will talk about the need for tougher gun laws with police chiefs gathered in Chicago on Tuesday, aides say, as part of a broader conversation about violence and how police can work more effectively with their communities to combat it.
He’s traveling to Chicago simply because that’s the site of the annual gathering of the International Assn. of Chiefs of Police, but advisors say he’s well aware of the symbolism in returning to his hometown amid this debate.
Chicago has long been a battleground for both pro- and anti-gun forces. Three decades ago, in the wake of the assassination attempts on President Reagan and Pope John Paul II, the City Council banned new sales and registration of handguns in the city in 1982. Chicago was the first major city to take that step.
Now, with Obama renewing his rhetoric about more gun control in the wake of massacres at a church in South Carolina and a community college in Oregon and considering imposing gun safety rules by executive order, critics once again are pointing to the president’s hometown for proof of the folly.
Andrew McCarthy has written a National Review article entitled "Hillary's Breathtaking Mendacity."
It describes the lies that were revealed and "made explicit" in Clinton's testimony before the Benghazi committee last Thursday, and it's well worth reading in its entirely. But it also exemplifies a response that's occurring only on the right. McCarthy's clear and painstaking description of how Clinton lied to the American people (but not to her daughter) is freely available to all who read National Review, but how many people would that be, compared to those who read the ubiquitous MSM spin that says she acquitted herself admirably in the hearings and no one laid a glove on her, nor was any new or interesting information revealed?
The Benghazi hearings have underlined---even though such underlining wasn't needed---how those who control the narrative control the perception and even the conclusion. Clinton can lie through her teeth about material facts for political reasons, it can be demonstrated over and over (or it can be obvious to anyone listening or paying a particle of attention), and if the media decides to ignore that fact, how many people will look for themselves and decide for themselves? Very few, I'm afraid.
Apparently, facts are not stubborn things. Not any more. Maybe they never were.

Watching Bernie Sanders declare that he's about to say something that "may not be great politics" and then announce that "people are sick of hearing about Clinton emails," many people wondered why on earth Sanders would hand such a major victory to Hillary during the first (and so far only) Democrat debate. It made no sense.
She'd had a horrible horrible spring and summer, and her campaign was looking like it was about to implode—so much so that Joe Biden gave serious consideration to jumping into the race. Sanders handed her a life-line that helped not only jump-start her campaign but set the stage for a cool, confident, cackling Hillary to face the Benghazi committee. Not great politics? Understatement of the year.
Watch as the significance of the moment slowly dawns on a bobble-headed Hillary:
She's grim-faced and readying herself for battle as Sanders begins speaking, but by the end, she's positively giddy as what he has said—and done—sinks in, and she breaks debate protocol by spontaneously reaching out to Sanders and shaking his hand in unconcealed euphoria. Poor Sanders didn't get it at the time. But she did.

The liberal talking point about the Benghazi committee is that Hillary Clinton won the battle and emerged unscathed but in order to believe that, you first have to ignore one major lie that was uncovered. The attack had nothing to do with a video.
That is not what we were told. The idea of a terror attack on an American embassy on 9/11 just before a presidential election didn't match Obama's grandiose claims that al Qaeda was on the run.
In the days that followed the Benghazi attack, the lie about it being based on a video was parroted by Hillary Clinton, Jay Carney, Susan Rice and even Obama himself.

Democrats are are gleeful over Hillary Clinton's performance at the Benghazi hearing on Friday. Her fundraising is up, she's received a big labor union endorsement and two of her Democratic rivals have dropped out of the race.
Even so, their enthusiasm smacks of overconfidence.
Jordain Carney of The Hill:
Senate Dems rally around Clinton after Benghazi hearing
Senate Democrats are rallying behind Hillary Clinton after her marathon appearance before the House Select Committee on Benghazi, suggesting Republicans have only helped bolster the former secretary of State's presidential bid.
"I had somebody come to my home this morning and say, 'You know, I think that put her in the White House,'" Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) told reporters Friday.

This is the most talked about part of the day -- Hillary admitting video had nothing to do with Benghazi attack and that she told people at the time, but the American public was told otherwise:

At a recent town hall event in New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton said America should consider a mandatory gun buyback program like the one that took place in Australia in the 1990's.
A former Republican member of the Texas house of representatives named Suzanna Hupp, who survived a mass shooting in 1991, appeared on The Kelly File last night and offered a response.
The FOX News Insider has more:
Mass Shooting Survivor: You Never See These Attacks at Gun Shows, NRA Events
Suzanna Hupp, a survivor of the 1991 mass shooting in Kileen, Texas, that left 24 people dead, said that there was a law against concealed carry in the state at the time, so she left her gun in her car.
Hupp, who saw her parents murdered during the tragic incident, said that you never see mass shooting at gun shows or NRA events, places where there are hundreds or thousands of armed, law-abiding citizens.

According to a new CNN/ORC poll, most Democrats who tuned in for the first Democratic primary debate thought Hillary Clinton won the night---but that "win" didn't translate into boosted poll numbers.
Clinton has remained steady at 45%; Bernie Sanders is still in at a respectable 29%...and Joe Biden rounds out the top three with 18%---and he hasn't even declared yet. Clinton hasn't moved the needle much since before this month's debate, but Sanders has managed to gain 5 points since mid-September---the only candidate to do so.
More from CNN:
Overall, 31% of registered Democrats say they watched all or most of the CNN/Facebook debate, held October 13 in Las Vegas. More than 6-in-10 Democrats who watched say Clinton did the best job, almost doubling the 35% who thought Sanders had the best performance. On the other side of the coin, 43% of those who watched said Chafee had the worst night, 31% thought Webb did, 12% O'Malley.

Hillary Clinton visited Alabama this weekend and while nearly all of the early media reports are about her absurd claim that Republicans are trying to disenfranchise black voters, it was her remarks about the economy that were truly stunning.
In the Associated Press video below, Hillary suggests that it is always Republican presidents who create financial messes which have to then be cleaned up by Democrats.
She touts the financial record of her husband before accusing Bush of leaving Obama with a massive debt. She goes on to praise Obama and claim that he never gets enough credit.
Clinton conveniently leaves out the role Democrats played in the 2008 financial crisis when they forced banks to give home loans to unqualified borrowers. She also neglects to mention the massive debt accumulated by Obama.

Despite popular opinion in favor of second amendment rights, Hillary Clinton has made gun control a centerpiece of her White House bid.
Speaking in New Hampshire Friday, Clinton was asked about gun control. "Recently Australia managed to get away, or take away tens of thousands, millions of handguns. In one year, they were all gone. Can we do that? If we can’t, why can’t we?"
Clinton responded saying Australia's eradication of firearms was "worth considering" on a national level.

Last Sunday, we published a post showing how Obama pretty much signaled Justice to lay off their investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server. During an interview with 60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft, the President threw the FBI's investigation under the bus when he said---without going into much detail---that he didn't think the server posed a national security threat.
Steve Kroft: Do you think it posed a national security problem?
