Given how completely out of left field the leading 2020 Democrat presidential contenders are, it's become somewhat common to see Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, as a moderate.  Perhaps when compared to socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and fringe leftist Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), he is a moderate. But that's still miles from the center where ordinary Americans tend to reside.

The Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee released its impeachment report after a few weeks of hearings. It comes a day before more hearings will take place in the House Judiciary Committee. Chairman Adam Schiff attempted to make the case against President Donald Trump, insisting the hearings uncovered evidence to impeach him over alleged threats to withhold aid to Ukraine. The Republicans published their own report on Monday, which stated Trump did nothing wrong.

Legal Insurrection readers will recall that President Donald Trump's EPA has slammed San Francisco, which includes the 12th District of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, with potential environmental violations over its handling of sewage and wastewater. However, instead of cleaning up the mess in her district, Pelosi is heading off to Spain for a climate change junket.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has declined to open an investigation against Israel over the 2010 Gaza flotilla incident. The decision came after the ICC appeals judges ordered their chief prosecutor to reconsider her previous rejection of calls for probe into the 2010 raid. In May 2013, Comoros, a small Muslim-majority Indian Ocean island country, approached the Hague-based tribunal to launch "war crimes" proceedings against Israel.

On November 8, 2019, I noted a strange twist in the Gibson's Bakery v. Oberlin College case. Several months after the verdicts, and a month after the court denied a nearly identical motion by Oberlin College, two Cleveland media outlets plus an Ohio media non-profit group sought to unseal the Facebook records of Allyn D. Gibson.

San Francisco 49ers star Richard Sherman is known for lending a helping hand to those in need. He has done it again.  Sherman gave $7,491.27 to Cabrillo Middle School in Santa Clara, CA, and $20,000 to the Tacoma Public Schools in Tacoma, WA, to pay off school lunch debts. He also used to play for the Seattle Seahawks.

The Daily Beast sat down with Lisa Page, the former FBI lawyer and mistress of former FBI agent Peter Strzok, a week before the Department of Justice will release its inspector general report into FBI misconduct. Page claimed she came forward now because President Donald Trump mocked her, but the sympathetic piece seems more like a way to get ahead of any damning information in the IG report.
