Anti-EU parties have made big gains in the Sunday's European Election, securing outright victory in France, the United Kingdom and Italy. Nigel Farage's Brexit Party, Marine Le Pen's National Rally and Matteo Salvini's League party declared victory in their respective countries.

The United States was "attacking China’s core economic interests," Chinese state media said. By making a number of "arrogant demands," Washington was "trying to invade China’s economic sovereignty and force China to damage its core interests," Chinese state news agency Xinhua said Saturday. The comments came amid U.S. demands to restrict the role played by powerful Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that dominate all sectors of the country's economy and receive favored treatment from the state.

The German government's commissioner for Antisemitism has warned Jews living in Germany against wearing Kippah, or the Jewish skullcap, in public. "I can't advise Jews to wear Kippah at all times and everywhere in Germany. I have to say this with regret," Felix Klein, who heads the German government's Antisemitism office, told German newspaper group Funke.

Early election results indicate a landslide victory for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Hindu Nationalist party. It looks like the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and allies will receive around 350 out of 542 seats, well over the 272 majority mark.

In a devastating blow to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel, Germany's parliament has passed a resolution condemning BDS as antisemitic. The resolution titled "Stand Resolutely Against the BDS Movement: Combat Antisemitism" calls for cutting state funding to organizations supporting anti-Israel boycott. The motion is first of its kind adopted by any European country.

The new Islamophobia definition proposed by an all-party British parliamentary group could undermine police efforts in countering Islamic terrorism, the UK police warned. The legal adoption of the term could hamper law enforcement officers from going after terrorists and those spreading jihadist propaganda, UK's National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC), a body representing country's police chiefs, said.

France has been taken to the EU human rights court for refusing entry to children of Islamic State jihadists. The grandparents of two children who, along with their Islamist mother, are currently being held in detention by Syria's Kurdish fighters have filed a lawsuit in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) to overturn the French decision.

Iran is close to reaching an oil sales deal with the European Union, in direct violation of the U.S. sanctions, Reuters reported. The EU and Iran were "on the brink" of an oil agreement, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Zarif confirmed Tuesday.

Europe's open-doors immigration policy will lead to a European "Islamic caliphate," Italian deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini has warned voters ahead of the upcoming European Union election. "For our children, to leave behind an Islamic caliphate with sharia law in our cities is not something I want to do and I’m going to do everything in my power to avert this sad ending for Europe," he said during a visit to Hungary this week.

Germany's domestic intelligence service has published its first detailed report on Muslim anti-Semitism spreading across the country. Muslim anti-Semitism poses a significant threat to German society, the report titled "Antisemitism in Islamism" concluded. "The antisemitic ideology being spread by Islamist group and individuals poses a significant challenge for the peaceful and tolerant coexistence in Germany," the 44-page document said.

Islamist terrorists could carry out another series of coordinated attacks, this time dressed up as military personnel, warned Sri Lankan security forces following the Easter Sunday's suicide bombings on churches and luxury hotels that killed at least 250 people and injured hundreds. The Sri Lankan government has enforced a new emergency law banning women from wearing a burqa and other types of face covering due to security reasons -- much to the dismay of the local Muslim leaders. "All sorts of face covers that hinders the identification of individuals" have been forbidden, the new presidential order states.

Germany's center-right Free Democratic Party (FDP) has introduced a bill to end government support for anti-Israel BDS Movement. The proposed legislation seeks a ban on state funding to organizations involved in boycott and delegitimization campaign against Israel. Germany—directly as well as thorough European Union institutions—hands out millions of euros each year to activists and NGOs that run the anti-Israel boycott campaign.
