Rep. Beto O'Rourke is Sen. Ted Cruz's Democrat challenger in the upcoming midterm race. Despite being a Congressman, O'Rourke has poised himself as a D.C. outsider, much like Cruz did in 2012. Contra to Cruz's polished, poised self, O'Rourke is scrappy and irreverent.

Sen. Ted Cruz's Senate re-election campaign is running ads swatting at his Democrat opponent, Rep. Beto O'Rourke, for his stance on Israel. According to Facebook, Cruz's campaign began running the ads Tuesday.

Speaker Paul Ryan doesn't have a car. Not after a family of hungry woodchucks moved into the undercarriage of his Suburban and snacked on the vehicle's electrical system. During an event at The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. Thursday, outgoing Speaker of the House Paul talked about life after D.C., which will now include car shopping.

Democrat Senate Candidate Rep. Beto O'Rourke might be a hit among the Lone Star State's recent liberal transplants, but jumping a plane to L.A. for a Hollywood fundraising gig is not a good look. And yet... Monday, Variety reported that Rep. O'Rourke was in L.A. "at the home of actress Nancy Stephens and director-producer Rick Rosenthal for an evening reception."

The world is ending, Armageddon is nigh, and it's all because Judge Kavanaugh was nominated to take Justice Kennedy's place on the Supreme Court. Progressives are actively exploiting civics ignorance to raise money oppose Kavanaugh's nomination. In almost every instance where abortion and Roe v. Wade are mentioned, it's supposed that Kavanaugh HIMSELF will overturn Roe and all the poor women will die in back-alley abortions.

Doctor David Mackereth worked for the NHS as a medical assessor for 26 years until recently when he was "sacked" and ruled "unfit" to continue working with the Department because "he refused to identify patients as being of a sex that they did not see themselves as." What should be a biological discussion is now one of religious and speech issues. Though it's not unique to Christianity to believe gender is determined biologically and can't be chosen on a whim, Mackereth's stance is portrayed (at least by The Telegraph) as one based on religious principles. Mackereth claims his freedom of speech is being quashed because he's been fired for refusing to renounce his Christian beliefs.

Efforts to free the soccer team and coach trapped inside of a flooded cave in Thailand will resume Monday. Sunday, rescue workers were able to successfully extract four of the 12 boys. They were rushed to the hospital and are under observation. Reports indicate they are all doing well.

After almost 4 years outside of the classroom, Marquette Professor John McAdams can return to work. Friday, Wisconsin's Supreme Court ruled (4-2 in favor) McAdams was wrongly fired in 2014. On his personal blog, McAdams was critical of a graduate teaching instructor who squashed a debate on gay marriage when a student disagreed with her on the subject. The graduate teaching instructor was named and the incident recounted on McAdams' personal blog, which resulted in his firing (indefinite suspension without pay) a few months later.

From the Department of YOU HAD ONE JOB: Currently, 12 Thai boys (a soccer team), are trapped in a cave where they've been since June 23rd. Rescue teams are frantically working to pump water out of the flooded cave in order to get the boys and their coach to safety. Heavy rains are expected Saturday and would it even more difficult if not impossible to get the team and their coach out.

I keep thinking there will come a point when the public realizes turning politics into a religion is not just unfruitful, but potentially personally devastating. Politics and politicians are fickle and will always fail you given the opportunity. But, we're not there yet. Bridgid Delaney quit going to the gym when Trump won the 2016 election. The owner of the gym Delaney once frequented and Delaney entered into a pre-election bet, if Trump one, Delaney would have to pull 70kg on a "sled" machine. If Hillary won, the gym owner would have to pull double his personal best.
