Could our political media be any more narcissistic? Actually, don't answer that. Tuesday night, CNN's Jim Acosta (the guy who loves to make himself the story) was greeted by attendees at a Trump rally in Tampa, though certainly not in the way he probably hoped. Rally-goers flipped him the bird, yelled "CNN sucks!" called him a "traitor" in between the chorus of loud boooos.

I'm still having a difficult time wrapping my head around this one. There exist parents that are attempting to raise their children as gender neutral, thus allowing them to choose their own genders later in life. "Theybies" is what this new parenting technique is called.

Monday, Sen. Rand Paul announced he would vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Paul was the only Senate Republican to openly discuss his reservations about supporting Kavanaugh (mostly due to his concerns about his favorite amendment and one he's made a career championing and filibustering on behalf of -- the fourth amendment) but promised he'd keep an open mind.

Are you getting tired of this yet? I know I am. The media obsession with non-stories is tiresome, but because the he-said, she-said is what's passing for serious news these days (regardless of veracity) we can't ignore it. So, here we are. Trump's former personal attorney Michael Cohen recently claimed that President Trump was aware of Don Jr.'s Trump Tower meeting. Left-leaning media is obsessed with the Trump Tower meeting. They're completely, wholly convinced it was during this meeting that Russia collision occurred.

Rather than waning, Trump Derangement Syndrom gets worse the longer Trump serves in the Oval Office. Even for a once staunch opposer of Trump like myself, Trump's governance has been far less threatening than I ever imagined, leaving me and many others pleasantly surprised. In the age of personal truths and disregard for anything tethered to reality or absoluteness, it makes sense that those whose personal truth requires perpetual outrage even when circumstances don't require hysterics, would find an abundance of ways to distort reality into something subjectively alarming.

Rep. Beto O'Rourke is Sen. Ted Cruz's Democrat challenger in the upcoming midterm race. Despite being a Congressman, O'Rourke has poised himself as a D.C. outsider, much like Cruz did in 2012. Contra to Cruz's polished, poised self, O'Rourke is scrappy and irreverent.

Sen. Ted Cruz's Senate re-election campaign is running ads swatting at his Democrat opponent, Rep. Beto O'Rourke, for his stance on Israel. According to Facebook, Cruz's campaign began running the ads Tuesday.

Speaker Paul Ryan doesn't have a car. Not after a family of hungry woodchucks moved into the undercarriage of his Suburban and snacked on the vehicle's electrical system. During an event at The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. Thursday, outgoing Speaker of the House Paul talked about life after D.C., which will now include car shopping.

Democrat Senate Candidate Rep. Beto O'Rourke might be a hit among the Lone Star State's recent liberal transplants, but jumping a plane to L.A. for a Hollywood fundraising gig is not a good look. And yet... Monday, Variety reported that Rep. O'Rourke was in L.A. "at the home of actress Nancy Stephens and director-producer Rick Rosenthal for an evening reception."
