Another woman has accused Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) of inappropriate behavior. According to CNN, 33-year-old Lindsay Menz claims that Franken grabbed her butt during a photo-op at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010. Just days ago, radio news anchor Leeann Tweeden claimed that Franken forcibly kissed her and groped her breasts as she slept in 2006 during a USO tour.

The alleged offenses committed by Roy Moore, Al Franken, and Harvey Weinstein aren't even in the same ballpark. Al Franken of course, the growing Democrat argument goes, is the lesser offender of the many and because he apologized for his actions in the now famously scandalous photo, he ought to be left alone to live his life in the U.S. Senate. Several pieces have been penned making this argument for various reasons. They're little more than fluffy excuses for alleged sexual predators who, without the consent of the other party(ies), prey upon weakness and vulnerability. No matter how you slice their alleged offenses they're sick, not to mention wrong.

On Friday, Kemberlee wrote about the bizarre braggadocio exhibited by sitting Ohio Supreme Court justice and candidate for governor Bill O'Neill. His attempt to make light of and sweep back under the carpet the serious allegations of sexual assault, rape, and assorted sexual improprieties unleashed in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal fell flat, leaving most people on both sides of the aisle outraged and incredulous.

Earlier on Sunday, Zimbabwe's ruling party Zanu-PF ousted dictator Robert Mugabe as its leader. It gave Mugabe 24 hours to resign or face impeachment. Mugabe gave a speech and many thought he would resign. He chose not to resign and vowed to continue leading. So it looks like impeachment is the next step.

Former NAACP activist Rachel Dolezal is quietly selling homemade lollipops from her website. You may remember Dolezal as the gal responsible for making selective race a national discussion. Dolezal, born of two white parents, masqueraded as a black woman for years saying she self-identified as black.

This week, Israel welcomed 162 members of a Jewish community from India who regard themselves as one of the lost Israelite tribes. The new immigrants from the northeastern Indian state of Mizoram will be joining 1700 members of their community already living in the Jewish State. The Bnei Menashe, as this Jewish community from India is called, traces its ancestry to Menasseh, the son of the biblical Prophet Joseph.

At the 2012 Democratic National Convention, the big moment was Joe Biden triumphantly declaring “Osama bin Laden is dead, and General Motors is alive." It turns out that in order to make that narrative stick, Obama had to downplay the actual strength of al-Qaeda.

The Trump administration is planning multi-year peace effort, Michael Wilner at the Jerusalem Post reports:
Deadlines are not a part of President Donald Trump's peace effort, led by Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law and senior adviser, and Jason Greenblatt, the US special representative for international negotiations. These two refuse to bind themselves in timetables as they prepare what they describe as an "architecture" for their upcoming initiative.
While details are not known, there appears to be a lot of jockeying going on to set the proper conditions to overcome historical Palestinian intransigence.

Last weekend, I wrote about the 2018 fate of the GOP House majority ultimately being in the hands of Republicans.  They've been granted an immense honor in being bestowed with majorities in both Houses of Congress and the White House, yet they are losing support amongst their voters, including most alarmingly amongst independents.  The remedy, I proposed, was going all-in on President Trump's agenda; after all, his agenda is more popular than the GOP, Congress, and even the president himself.  What, I asked, do they have to lose? Instead of fulfilling their campaign promises and the president's agenda, the GOP is tying itself in knots trying to be more progressive than the progressives and more anti-Trump than antifa.  This leaves them in a bad situation going into 2018 because they will never win Democrat or progressive votes and are losing the Independents votes they did have on the merits of their campaign promises.
