Remember during the Virginia governor race the left feigned anger over Republican candidate Ed Gillespie's ads on the problems the violent gang MS-13 poses? Someone show the left the latest report to come out of Virginia's neighbor Maryland. Police said members of MS-13 stabbed a man 100 times, decapitated him, tore out his heart, and buried him in a shallow grave..with his heart on top of him.

Last February, I blogged about the sexual abuse allegations against former U.S. Olympic Gymnastics and Michigan State University physician Larry Nassar. The allegations came up in September 2016 and by November the number of women grew to 50. The number is now over 140. The number kept growing, with members of the latest U.S. Gymnastics team claiming Nassar abused them. An attorney representing one victim said the case is "Penn State all over again" due to "the same kind of institutional failures, involving multiple victims violated by a trusted staffer." On Wednesday, Nassar pled guilty to numerous charges of sexual abuse. His agreement with the prosecutors contained a prison sentence of 25 to 40 years.

FINALLY. As I've been covering and tweeting for months, the Myanmar army has been committing atrocities on the Rohingya minority, basically to the point to eliminate the people from the planet. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has finally declared these atrocities as ethnic cleansing, which is exactly what is going on.

After clearly stating that as president he had no power to change immigration law, then-president Obama went ahead in 2012 with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).  Obama himself referred to DACA as his "action to change the law," a power vested in the legislature, not the executive. In 2010, Obama told an audience of amnesty proponents that he's "not king" and "can't do these things just by myself."  In 2011, he explained further, "that he couldn't "just bypass Congress and change the (immigration) law myself. ... That's not how a democracy works."  And in 2012, he did it anyway. Then-presidential candidate Trump campaigned on ending DACA, and in September, he announced his decision to end DACA after giving Congress six months to pass it into law.  Passing DACA or some equivalent into law is perfectly within the purview of Congress.

Continuing the fun holiday tradition, President Trump pardoned two turkeys, named Wishbone and Drumstick, from becoming Thanksgiving dinner.
"I'm pleased to report that unlike millions of other turkeys at this time of the year, Drumstick has a very, very bright future ahead of him," Trump said at the pardoning, with first lady Melania and son Barron standing by his side and many extended family members in the audience.

Based on the present state of affairs, and assuming there are no further revelations, it looks like Roy Moore will outlast the outrage over the accusations, which he denies, that he molested a 14-year-old girl and assaulted a 16-year-old girl almost 40 years ago. Those serious accusations of criminality have been conflated in the media with non-criminal accusations that Moore dated teenage girls of legal age. I say "assuming there are no further revelations" because I would not be shocked if more comes out. Moore's wife complained that the Washington Post is calling everyone the two of them have known for the past several decades, and certainly other major media are conducting similar searches. So what follows assumes there are no new accusers, and no additional evidence to support the current accusations.

The New School, a liberal Manhattan-based university, has garnered considerable controversy over a program on antisemitism that’s currently scheduled for Tuesday, November 28. The program is titled Antisemitism and the Struggle for Justice and it is designed to promote a book by Jewish Voice for Peace of a similar name. Criticism of the event has been almost entirely focused on the university’s “misguided invitation” to Linda Sarsour and the “absurdity” of this self-identified anti-Israel firebrand and boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement “poster girl” being asked to discuss the nature of contemporary anti-Jewish hatred and how best to tackle it.

NBC sports announcer Al Michaels blamed Trump stoking tensions in the "take a knee" nonsense plaguing the NFL. In an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Michales said he believed the kneeling controversy was simmering down until Trump weighed in, "once the president made those remarks in Alabama, at that particular point it was like throwing a match into a gas tank.”

We all thought that Zimbabwe dictator Robert Mugabe would resign on Sunday. After all, the military takeover occurred last week and his party, Zanu-PF, ousted him as party leader. They then said he had 24 hours to resign or face impeachment. Mugabe gave an insufferable speech on Sunday without resigning, which met impeachment. The dictator must have thought everyone was bluffing. To his disappointment, they meant every word and began impeachment proceedings. Mugabe swallowed his pride and finally resigned, ending a 37 year reign. He had been the world's oldest leader at 93-years-old.
