U.S. President Barack Obama has been lavishing praise on German Chancellor Angela Merkel ahead of his visit to Germany next month. The visit, announced earlier this week, comes as a surprise in Berlin. Obama was quoted by German media saying, “[Working with Merkel] was the most important relationship, the most important friendship I had during my tenure.” These are no empty phases but heartfelt words of a true admirer. Earlier this year, President Obama declared Germany’s Chancellor to be on the “right side of the history” for opening up Europe to millions of migrants from Arab and Muslim countries -- an honour he generally reserves only for himself.

The Obama administration is turning a blind eye to racial harassment – because the victims are white students. The harassment, which occurred at the University of California at Berkeley, was captured on video on October 21, and nationally publicized. As the Daily Caller reported:
“A video of Friday’s protest shows a large group of protesters preventing white students from passing over a bridge while allowing access to students of color. In addition to blocking access to Berkeley’s Sather Gate, a key bridge on the route to many classes, the wall of protesters also prevented white students from studying in the Student Union and stopped traffic at the main intersection in the front of campus.”

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) told The Washington Post that his committee has "years" of investigation material on Hillary Clinton, even after the presidential election:
“It’s a target-rich environment,” the Republican said in an interview in Salt Lake City’s suburbs. “Even before we get to Day One, we’ve got two years’ worth of material already lined up. She has four years of history at the State Department, and it ain’t good.”

In reference to Election 2016, I have recently observed that the best proof of intelligent extraterrestrial life is the fact that none of it has wanted to actually contact us, yet. However, a new scientific report theorizes that strange modulations among a small star cluster may be be coming from extraterrestrial intelligence that is looking to alert us to their existence.
The new study reports the finding of specific modulations in just 234 out of the 2.5 million stars that have been observed during a survey of the sky. The work found that a tiny fraction of them seemed to be behaving strangely.

UNESCO continues to implement the holy Islamic Jihad against the Jews and Jewish History demanded by the Palestinian by passing a second resolution earlier today expunging the Jewish and Christian connection to the Temple Mount. The Israeli ambassador threw it in the trash. https://twitter.com/JudahAriGross/status/791234794797621248

The Pentagon received a lot of heat this week when The Los Angeles Times reported officials demanded California National Guard soldiers repay bonuses the government enticed them with to reenlist and go to war. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced he will suspend this program:
"Today, in keeping with that obligation, I am ordering a series of steps to ensure fair treatment for thousands of California National Guard soldiers who may have received incentive bonuses and tuition assistance improperly as a result of errors and in some cases criminal behavior by members of the California National Guard.”

This one surprised me. I've grown accustomed to most cultural venues mocking anything Republican or right-leaning (though it could be argued Trump is neither). But a recent 'Saturday Night Live' sketch called "Black Jeopardy" was surprisingly kind in its portrayal of what appears to be a...

Just yesterday I blogged about upcoming health insurance rate hikes. Health insurance plans offered on an exchange (like those purchased by most self-employed individuals) will see double-digit premium increases. Not only are premiums and deductibles sky-rocketing, but consumer choice is dwindling. Insurer complaints are the same — health insurance consumers are sicker and older than their original models predicted, making affordable insurance a virtually impossible offering. Worse still -- the Obama administration is completely out of touch with their hallmark legislation's ramifications.

The claim that you can keep your plan and doctor was the line that sold Obamacare to a skeptical public, and gave Democrats cover to rework the health care system, comprising 1/5 of the economy, by a bare majority in Congress. That false promise generally is attributed to Obama during the 2009-2010 push to pass Obamacare:

About the last person you'd expect to be taking unsubtle shots at Elizabeth Warren's phony claims of Native American heritage is Mika Brzezinski. Early in this presidential cycle, Brzezinski was Warren's biggest fan, urging her to get into the race. But on today's Morning Joe, after clips were played of Warren on the stump for Hillary making over-caffeinated condemnations of Donald Trump, Mika declared "she's on the warpath." Mark Halperin groaned in response, but a butter-wouldn't-melt-in-her-mouth Mika feigned ignorance of the gibe she had just aimed.

Newt Gingrich appeared on the Kelly File Tuesday night and fireworks flew. Things started out fine with Gingrich offering his assessment of the presidential race but went downhill quickly when Kelly started bringing up Trump's negatives. Like many Americans, Newt has clearly tired of Trump bashing in media. Mediaite has more details:
Newt Gingrich Lost It and Blew Up at Megyn Kelly: ‘You Are Fascinated with Sex!’ Gingrich started to get a little snippy and said we all should just go home if she thinks the election’s over. He insisted that the odds “are pretty good” that Clinton doesn’t win.
