Parkland activist David Hogg has carved out a special place in the hearts and minds of the uber-left and is thoroughly enjoying every minute, seeming at times drunk with the power he perceives he possesses. Hogg has no power on his own, of course, but he does have substantial power bestowed upon him by the targets of his destructive activism, power that Publix, at least, acknowledges as it suspends political donations in light of Hogg's anti-Second Amendment, anti-NRA "die-in" effort.

Cynthia Nixon is taking the fight to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo aggressively. WABC in New York offered to host a televised debate and Nixon jumped at the chance before Cuomo even had a chance to respond. She also said she wants the debate to be between only the two of them.

Remember last year when the left became obsessed with the removal of Confederate statues? Critics warned that it was a slippery slope and were assured that it was just about Confederate monuments. Today, a battle is brewing over a statue of Thomas Jefferson at Hofstra University. It doesn't matter to campus activists that Jefferson was the author of the Declaration of Independence or the third president of the United States. All that matters is that he was a slave owner.

Unsurprisingly, the "Parkland Protesters" were co-opted by the anti-Second Amendment left, and everyone from the media to politicians on both sides of the aisle to former Supreme Court justices has been falling over themselves to support "gun control" in their name. Last month, Kemberlee blogged about how the "March for Our Lives" had been taken over by a variety of the usual leftist SJW agitators and demagogues.
