The new Congress convened Sunday at noon, and the House held its Speakership vote. With only a razor-thin majority, Democrats could not afford to indulge 15 members voting against Nancy Pelosi as happened two years ago, nor did AOC or the rest of the 'Squad' defect despite pressure from the left not to "sell out."

In a stunning reversal, the Trafalgar Group, which has been one of the most reliable pollsters this election season, released its latest polling numbers for next week's Georgia Senate runoff showing that the two Democratic challengers - Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff - are now leading the incumbent Republican senators - Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

Despite being allegedly compromised by a spy from China, Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) is still serving on the House Intelligence Committee for some reason. Do you think Russia-crazed Congress members like Adam Schiff or even Nancy Pelosi would allow this to go on if Swalwell was a Republican? What happened to all the concern about threats to our democracy?

Long before Joe Biden became the Democratic presidential nominee, reports circulated that the then-77-year-old former VP signaled he'd only commit to serving one term if elected. This came after months of Democrats and media figures raised the issue of his age and cognitive health after a series of gaffes and flubs made during the primaries.

Oh, look. Glamour interviewed two Democrat women over the hardship of juggling campaigns and motherhood. Magazines never do this with Republican or conservative women. Jen O'Malley Dillon, Joe Biden's campaign manager and his pick for deputy chief of staff, told Glamour that while she wants unity, she admitted Republicans are "a bunch of f*ckers."

As I read today about how the first truckloads of the Pfizer Wuhan coronavirus vaccine were rolled out this morning for delivery and distribution to frontline healthcare workers and nursing homes, my thoughts turned to the media's/left's eight-months-long effort to undercut President Trump's claims on various treatments for the virus as well as his touting of an accelerated vaccine timeline.

Business owners throughout New York are suffering and struggling to pay bills and feed their families, largely due to the COVID policies of Governor Andrew Cuomo. Just this week, he reinstated the ban on indoor dining. None of this is going to prevent Cuomo from celebrating, however. This week, he is holding a virtual reception as a campaign fundraiser with Hollywood celebrities, a key constituency of the Democrat party.

Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has long been a gadfly in the Democratic party, ruffling the feathers of party leaders by at times taking positions at odds with party leaders and the far-left base. In the process, she has helped expose deep divisions within the party's ranks that Republicans including President Trump have capitalized on in bids to further fracture the Democratic base and win over converts.

Following the Supreme Court's denial of the Texas lawsuit—later joined by 17 states, New Jersey Democrat Rep. Bill Pascrell is demanding that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refuse to seat the 126 House Republicans who supported the Texas suit. LI readers may recall Pascrell filing complaints against and trying to get lawyers representing President Trump disbarred.

The Democrat/Media/Big Tech axis has decided that it is safe—now that the election is over—to inform the American people about the shady Ukrainian and ChiCom connections and influence-peddling scandal surrounding Hunter Biden and implicating 'the big guy,' then Vice President and now Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.
