NY Dem Congressman-Elect: American Capitalism “is Slavery by Another Name”

Jamaal Bowman: “I believe our current system of capitalism is slavery by another name”

The Squad has a new member. His name is Jamaal Bowman and he is now going to represent New York’s 16th congressional district.

During a recent interview, Bowman compared capitalism in America to slavery, which means he will fit right in with his new Squad-mates.

It is an insult to compare capitalism, a system which has done more to raise people out of poverty than any other system that has ever been tried, to slavery, but what else should we expect from this growing Democratic caucus on the far left?

Sam Dorman reports at FOX News:

New ‘Squad’ member Jamaal Bowman calls American capitalism ‘slavery by another name’

Congressman-elect Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., said in an interview published Monday that he believes the U.S.’ current system of capitalism is a form of slavery.

“I believe our current system of capitalism is slavery by another name,” said Bowman, a new member of the progressive “Squad.”

He told The Root that “[w]e’ve moved from physical chattel enslavement and physical racial segregation to a plantation economic system. One that keeps the majority of Americans unemployed, or underemployed and struggling just to survive, while the power elite continues to concentrate wealth in the hands of a few, and allow large corporations to pretty much run the world as multinational corporations.”

“The pandemic has revealed it. With almost 300,000 dead from the pandemic, disproportionately Black and brown, and Jeff Bezos is the first $200 billionaire. In the next six years, he might become the first trillionaire. That’s slavery by another name. It’s a system that’s not working, so we need a new system.”

One of the reasons Bezos has become so much more wealthy over the last ten months is a direct result of the lock down policies of members of Bowman’s party, policies which are destroying small businesses.

Bowman is also already advocating for a further leftward push in the Democratic party. He has been critical of Obama and believes the Squad is the way of the future.

Emily Jacobs reports at the New York Post:

“I don’t think Obama is the standard we should be striving towards. I think the Squad is more of a standard we should be striving towards because I think the Squad is more responsive to what’s happening today in our streets,” Bowman told the outlet.

“I think Obama represents a certain demographic of the Democratic Party, but the Democratic Party is a big and diverse tent. I think the Squad and myself represent more of what’s happening right now in the party, on the ground, in the streets — particularly with parts of the community that we haven’t always engaged very well.”

As if all of this isn’t distressing enough, Bowman is looking forward to serving on the House Committee on Education and Labor.

Can you even imagine what the Democratic party will look like a decade from now?

What an uneducated Communist Chinese house slave.

Hands down, the dumbest thing I’ve read today. Why am I not surprised he was a “teacher?”

This reflects a vast majority of the voters in that district and so many districts. This is why I think the union should end (peacefully). Our red and blue parents should just get a divorce.

I refuse to be ruled by them and they don’t want to be ruled by us.

Marriages that are this ill suited end. Amicably or all sorts of ugly. They end.

This thug will do everything in his power to further corrode capitalism and Western norms through his position on the US House Committee on Education.

We can fight back by being involved with our local school boards.

“We can fight back by being involved with our local school boards…”

Why, so the likes of John Roberts will sell out to Antifa in the end?

We need to start discussing the divorce. It’s the only way to a future for us.

Civil War is easy to talk about. Do you have children? A son? Be prepared to bury your children if you want to go down that route.

You talk as if there will be no threats to your life or your children’s lives from the likes of Antifa and BLM as they integrate with the government under the incoming Biden/Harris Whore House.

You’re selling your kids short by not getting ready to fight for their future. You’re in fact selling them into slavery. Will your son face ruin because some crazy woman accuses him of an act he did not commit? Will your daughter face a life of loneliness because she will have been further indoctrinated into feminist fascist garbage that will ensure she will be childless and never settle for a guy? Will you and your family suffer possibly life-threatening harassment from even more psychos who will be coming into run our schools? Will you accept life under the sea of illegal aliens who will be pouring into the nation when Biden/Harris throw open the border?

On the other hand, go back to your sofa and watch tv, or just be happy being a keyboard warrior (until you are traced and your way if life is threatened, if not destroyed).

I don’t think you really see what’s coming our way.

I forgot to mention the existential threat you – and your children – will be facing by a nuclear Iran (they’ll be up and running in no time under the Biden/Harris Whore House). You’ll also be facing a hostile North Korea, after the Biden/Harris Whore House blows the peace that PDJT seems to have made. And when the Biden/Harris Whore House allows ISIS to again spread it’s wings again, taking over vast amounts of land (which was an obama legacy – and something PDJT destroyed), and when Palestinian worldwide terror again becomes a way of life… And when your children have hope of a middle class life because the Biden/Harris Whore House brought in the likes of John Kerry to begin a new looting operation called an ‘environmental tax’….

And finally, what will you say to your children or grandchildren when they ask why Communist China runs their government (it just about runs it now).

There are a lot worse things that can happen to us and our families than battling the scum here at home trying to literally enslave us and loot our country dry. If the Covid scam hasn’t drilled that into our heads by now, yes, we might as well give up.

      Will Roberts be impeached?

Wonder if he ever had a civics lession in school or was he a pure Marxist Seminary student?

Just another obama-type douchbag from the assembly line.

The assembly line is so vast, empowered and efficient, it’s not turning out douchebags of every color and gender.

We’ve got to threaten divorce, or we’ll living in a society that we’d want to fight to get our way out of. It’ll be too late then.

Retaining capital, the product of your labor, is tantamount to slavery? The problem is progressive prices. The problem is [catastrophic] [anthropogenic] immigration reform. The problem is diversity, not limited to racism, and exclusion (e.g affirmative discrimination). The problem is political congruence (“=”). The problem is the Green economy, including: shared/shifted responsibility, out-of-sight and out-of-mind policies, and progressive productivity. The problem is conflation of sex and gender, and other semantic games. The problem is an ostensibly “secular” quasi-religion (“ethics”) that is selective, opportunistic, relativistic. The problem is one-child… Planned Parenthood et al, including selective-child and cannibalized-child.

Retained earnings are in my opinion the best way to grow a business. I did their repeatedly, never borrowing money. Growth is much slower.

The minute you borrow to grow you put yourself at great risk of losing everything. I have known many people who lost their companies to smooth talking hucksters, asset thieves, predators.

He’s disqualified from taking office, right? He’s clearly too ignorant. I can see not having reading for voting, but shouldn’t a person be literate to hold office?

Fool/tool didn’t stand a chance. Public schools, Affirmative Action, victim mentality, Democrat party. Too much to overcome. Just think, he will be passing laws soon.

His comment shows he neither understands capitalism nor socialism. Capitalism is the voluntary selling of one’s labor or intelligence to provide a product or service to a willing buyer. Socialism is the taking of someone’s wealth, until there is no longer anymore wealth to take, and then taking the labor of that person involuntarily. This is why every socialist experience devolves into dictatorship.

How do these primitive shitbirds find their way to public life? This guy is dumber than AOC but the scowl on his angry face tells the tale.

No one is stopping the socialist jackasses from moving to Venezuela, or Baltimore.

Just another one horse pony wearing a nice suit.

Nice suit, comrade. I assume the party provided it for you?

Another whiny race victim racist that needs to renounce his US citizenship and move to Africa. I spit on him and those who share his mentality.

16th CD- in 2018 Elliot Engel ran unopposed. In 2020, the Republicans didn’t field a candidate- the Conservative Party did. He got a whopping 15.8% of the vote.

No surprise Jamaal’s views.

This is why we need a minimum IQ standard for politicians, and perhaps for voting.

The truth is that America’s average IQ is being dumbed down by blacks, Arabs and Hispanics, and Dems cater to that. Dumb people are fertile places to harvest votes from Dem deplorables. Hillary is and expert on Dem deplorables.

The Squad – Communists by another name.

Oh, shut up.

As an oh, by the way, I looked it up today. The new law on automatic ballot access that seemed designed to knock off the Working Families Party- didn’t work. The Conservative Party, in most, if not all, past elections received enough votes to get/keep ballot access with a threshold that exceeded the new law did so again. The WFP which met the old threshold in the past, but never the new- met the new. Their activists must have been working overtime for that.

In 2022 I suspect several Democrat incumbents are going to see general election challengers from the left on the WFP line. I wonder how many are going to be defeated by them….

I don’t think he was aiming at this but to be fair, I can certainly relate to the concept of ‘wage slavery’. Who among us has never wanted to quit our job due to a horrible boss or bad working conditions etc but financially couldn’t do so?

The concept of ‘wage slavery’ is a very, very far distance from chattel slavery. However, almost all of us aspire to either become our own boss/own our own business or achieve enough financial independence to retire early or simply have enough money to say ‘eff you’ to our boss and walk on our terms.

Milhouse in reply to CommoChief. | December 27, 2020 at 1:10 am

“Wage slavery” is a nonsense concept. You are free to refuse to work, even if it means you’ll starve. Having to work for a living is not slavery, it’s the normal human condition.

“capitalism is slavery by another name”.

Well, it’s official:

Freedom is now Slavery.

Thats a pretty fancy suit for a slave boy.

This guy – like all leftists – wouldn’t know an economic principle if it kicked him in the a$$

Kepha H in reply to Sally MJ. | December 28, 2020 at 11:03 am

Hopefully, an economic principle will kick him in the @$$ before it’s too late. It happened to China in the 1980’s, when they took a look at the economic ruin Mao and Hua left behind.

while the power elite continues to concentrate wealth in the hands of a few, and allow large corporations to pretty much run the world as multinational corporations

So why is he a member of the political party enabling this?

Jamaal, move to North Korea. A-hole.

“I believe our current system of capitalism is slavery by another name”

I believe you think you are intelligent. You could not possibly be more mistaken.

You definitely won’t like the other definitions of slavery.

Where do I sign up for the kind of money black entertainers and athletes take home as slaves?

Fine. If capitalism is “slavery by another name”, then I’m for slavery. Got a problem with that?

In other news, if you tell me that in your private language “shit” means “chocolate”, then I will tell you that in your language I love shit. Giving something a bad-sounding name doesn’t change what it is.

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | December 27, 2020 at 12:26 pm

Usually, the Democrat trick is on the other foot: give a shit concept a high-sounding name. Abortion -> women’s health.
Civilian disarmament -> gun safety, public health.
Racial discrimination -> quotas, affirmative action, equity.
And for you real geezers out there:
Racial discrimination -> segregation, separate but equal, law and order..
