The 2020 presidential debate process has been a train wreck. The first debate with Chris Wallace of FOX News was terrible, largely due to Wallace himself who, at times, argued with Trump more than Biden did. Then Steve Scully, the moderator of the second debate came under scrutiny for anti-Trump bias. The second debate has been cancelled as Scully's Twitter account is being investigated for a supposed hacking that's about as believable as the investigation of Joy Reid's old blog.

If you watched the vice presidential debate this week, you may have noticed that Kamala Harris often seemed agitated and nervous. This presented itself physically in her facial expressions, nervous laughter, and attitude. According to pollster and analyst Frank Luntz, this did not go over well with the undecided voters in his focus group.

The first presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is happening on Tuesday night. Democrats are playing it cool, but there is real concern about how Biden will perform. In a format like this, Biden is on his own. There is no campaign handler who can suddenly step in and shut down the event by saying "OK, thanks so much everyone."

Sunday's Democrat debate will feature Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, no Tulsi Gabbard.  After his horrendous showing in the last two primaries, Sanders announced that he is staying in the race to attend this debate and to challenge Biden on a range of issues. The debate starts at 8 p.m. Eastern and can be seen on CNN or Univision.  We are including a live stream below.

I am continually mystified by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren's horrific political instincts.  As her campaign began to stall, she decided to go after fellow Democrats who were beating her in fundraising and polling. As a result, she was so thoroughly owned by former South Bend, Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg during the December Democrat debate that I was surprised when she claimed that socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders told her a woman couldn't win the presidency.
