Kemberlee Kaye is the Senior Contributing Editor of Legal Insurrection, where she has worked since 2014 and is the Director of Operations and Editorial Development for the Legal Insurrection Foundation. She also serves as the Managing Editor for CriticalRace.org, a research project of the Legal Insurrection Foundation.

She has a background working in immigration law, and as a grassroots organizer, digital media strategist, campaign lackey, and muckraker. Over the years Kemberlee has worked with FreedomWorks, Americans for Prosperity, James O'Keefe's Project Veritas, and US Senate re-election campaigns, among others.

Whether they're lecturing the rest of us lowly Americans about our political beliefs, feigning moral superiority, mocking traditional values, or acting like everyone from the South is a racist hick, those in Middle America no longer give a rat's ass about the annual self-aggrandizing parade known as the Oscars. Turns out, no one is really interested in listening to a bunch of overpaid phoneys parade their shallowly formed moral opinions, especially not when the same elitists are simultaneously harboring rapists and pedophiles.

The National Rifle Association and the White House are in full on crisis PR mode, assuring the public that Trump is not interested in gun control, but instead, is committed to supporting second amendment protections. Wednesday, Trump met with legislators from both parties to begin discussion on what he hopes will kickstart the creation of a bipartisan, comprehensive bill addressing school shootings.

This made its way into my feed and I selfishly decided I would not suffer in solitude, thus this post. Wednesday morning, Utah's House of Representatives tweeted a music video explaining how a bill becomes law. The bastard child of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song and School House Rock's, "I'm just a bill", "Fresh Prints of Bill Here" is painfully cringe-worthy, but cute and endearing in the way your Grandma misuses a completely random pop culture reference. If you're not triggered by memories of your 16-year-old self mortified or struck with giggle fits watching your parents try their hand at the whole "being cool" thing, then I'm not sure you can fully appreciate the awkwardness that lies ahead.

Wednesday, Trump met with a bipartisan group of legislators to discuss yet-to-be-drafted legislation meant to address the ongoing scourge of school shootings. Hoping to hash out which policies and current legislation could be lumped into one, comprehensive, passable bill, discussion ensued, some in front of the media. Several sound-bites from the meeting have been plucked out as though they're indicative of some greater scheme.

The latest Florida school shooting is not just tragic, but as one reader pointed out, atrocious. Atrocious because every law enforcement agency involved ignored eleventy billion (approximately) red flags. As more information becomes available, it's looking more and more like there are some serious problems within the Broward County Sherrif's department. We've chronicled several of those here, here, and here.

This is hilarious. Michael Wolff, author of supposed Trump exposé "Fire and Fury", ran off the set of an Australian morning talk show Monday morning (their Monday morning). Wolff was able to hear interviewer Ben Fordham just fine until Fordham asked about Wolff's allegations that Trump was having an extra-marital affair.

During a math discussion, a student being helped by another student with a math problem was told the square root symbol he'd drawn looked like a sketch of a pistol. (NARRATOR: But it was not a pistol). It was a principal square root symbol. One of the students then popped off with something along the lines of, "well, let's get to work before I shoot you with a pistol!" A horrible game of telephone later and the cops were called, the student was removed from campus and his home investigated.
