Facebook's use of user data has been plastered across headlines for the last several weeks. A story about a company called Cambridge Analytica precipitated what became a massive snowball. In early stories, Cambridge Analytica (a data firm used by some candidates in both domestic and international elections), was accused of hacking the 2016 election by stealing user data.

Monday, the FBI raided Michael Cohen's office. Cohen is Trump's personal attorney. Now, Geoffrey Berman, the Trump-appointed Interim U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, is recused from the Cohen investigation. Berman's status as a Trump temporary appointee was used to claim that the warrant was not politically motivated. But now it turns out that Berman had recused himself and had nothing to do with the warrant against Cohen.

Do I really have to say this? Apparently so. The culture wars are exhausting. The best parts of life once meant to be an entertaining escape are now plagued with revisionary idiocy. Not even Indiana Jones is safe.

Four teenage girls were standing in line at Tiny's Milk and Cookies in West University Place, a tiny municipality nestled within the Houston city limits. They were waiting to buy cookies for kids at their church. One of the teenaged-girls was wearing a Trump t-shirt that said, "Make America Great Again." While waiting, West U Councilwoman Kellye Burke walked up to them and screamed, "Grab em by the p*ssy girls!" They tried to laugh it off, but Burke kept on.

Monday morning, Trump unleashed a round of tweets blaming Mexico and the Democrat party for contributing to America's Dreamer crisis, picking up a thread he began Sunday on the same subject. DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), the controversial policy created extralegally by President Obama, was rightly kicked to the legislature to legally codify protections for individuals who were brought to the U.S. as children without any legal immigration status.

The trial of Noor Salman, widow of the Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen, has made public a handful of startling revelations. Salman is accused of aiding late her husband who murdered 49 people. She's also, "charged with obstruction and providing material support to a terrorist organization." Mateen pledged allegiance to ISIS and was killed by police after the attack. The incident was used by anti-gun activists to push for more gun control.
