Elections bring out the best and brightest our country has to offer, like this guy. In Montrose (Houston's artsy and therefore more liberal pocket), a mustachioed man was filmed pulling up and destroying Ted Cruz yard signs. When confronted, he yelled, "I hate Ted Cruz!" and retreated to a coffee shop.

Were almost a solid two years into Trumps presidency and a good chunk of the population is still in denial. And so is Hillary Clinton, apparently. After Eric Garner's mom was introduced to a very small gathering, Hillary was introduced. Someone shouted, "The Real President!" Hillary didn't correct or dispute the claim. Instead, she grinned widely and nodded in agreement. The small crowd laughed and cheered and Hillary nodded and smiled all the while.

Friday, a Russian woman was charged for allegedly interfering in US elections, including the 2018 midterms. The Department of Justice indicated that the criminal charges are not indicative of interference to the degree that electoral outcomes were swayed. Elena Khusyaynova, 44, is accused of attempting to "sow discord", "as part of a conspiracy that exploited thousands of social media accounts and emails that claimed to be owned by U.S. residents, authorities said," reports CNBC.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi received a less than warm welcome in Miami Wednesday. When Pelosi was headed into a meeting with Democrat activists and leaders, a group of pro-Trump Cuban Americans (as identified by the video's title), yelled profanities at her, saying, "F*cking Communist! You don't belong here, f*cking Communist!"

A few months ago, Democrats had a commanding lead in a number of polls and talks of a Blue Wave had the GOP rattled. But a lot has happened these few months. A series of missteps, unforced errors, and flat out embarrassments and three weeks before the midterm elections, polls are skewing red.

Monday, a federal judge dismissed Stormy Daniels's defamation lawsuit against President Trump. When Trump suggested the porn actress lied about being told to keep quiet about their alleged relationship, Daniels then claimed Trump defamed her. Not only was the complaint dismissed, but Daniels was ordered to pay Trump's legal fees.

Late Thursday night, the Wall Street Journal reported that Leland Keyser, a friend of Dr. Fords, "felt pressured by Dr. Ford’s allies to revisit her initial statement that she knew nothing about an alleged sexual assault by a teenage Brett Kavanaugh, which she later updated to say that she believed but couldn’t corroborate Dr. Ford’s account, according to people familiar with the matter."

Late Thursday night, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Grassley sent yet another request for evidence (the third in writing that's been made public) to Ford's attorneys requesting Ford's therapy notes (the ones she shared with The Washington Post but has refused to share with the committee in confidence) as well as her communications with the WaPo.
