Former White House Chief of Staff and RNC Chair Reince Priebus and former White House Press Secretary (also RNC alum) Sean Spicer were recently appointed to a White House Commission.

The polls have closed in some parts of New Hampshire, and all will be closed by 8 p.m. Eastern. Joe Biden has left town things look so bad. Will we see a Buttisurge, a Bernie bounce, a Yang-bang, a Klobucharge, or a Warren Wipeout? RESULTS will be posted as they come in, and we'll update with any other related news.

The Trump impeachment circus has packed up and left town. Wednesday, Trump was acquitted of both impeachment charges. Thursday, Trump gave a public announcement to discuss the trial and acquittal. In true Trump form, it was a victory lap. And who can blame him? He was the subject of a political witch hunt, if ever there was one, and came out on the other end unscathed. This could not be worse for Democrats.

The DNC's nightmares are playing out in real life and I am here for it. Once again, headed into the thick of election season, Bernie Sanders' campaign is picking up serious momentum, which is exactly what dyed-in-the-wool Democrats and their donors do not want.

Tuesday, Professor Jacobson blogged about one of THE most tone-deaf cable news segments I've ever seen. A CNN panel hosted by Don Lemon, billing Rick Wilson, (a former Republican political consultant who sold his soul to the NeverTrump brigade and now poses as a token "Republican" on CNN and MSNBC to trash actual Republicans and right-leaning folk) were overcome with fits of laughter while mocking Trump and Trump supporters as bassackwards hillbillies, ignoramuses, and simpletons.

Monday, the Supreme Court issued an order allowing the Trump administration's "public charge" rule to proceed, pending further appeals. The rule issued by the Department of Homeland Security would make it more difficult for immigrants to obtain immigration benefits if they are likely to use public assistance. The decision was 5-4 and split neatly down party lines.

When Beto was still in the race, he was mocked for having what became a test balloon campaign, throwing anything and everything at the wall to see what stuck. His campaign turned into a joke and he was viewed (is viewed) as wholly unserious. Elizabeth Warren seems to be following an adjacent path. Most recently, Warren vowed to release all Trump documents related to the impeachment inquiry.
