One of the ways that the right explains their ideological differences from the left is that the right is realistic about human nature while the left is, on the one hand, too idealistic in its push for perfect citizens in their utopian fantasy and, on the other, ruthless in its "reeducation" interment and even the mass murder of those who don't meet their utopian ideals.

The Wuhan coronavirus is doing a lot of damage not just to those afflicted and their families, but to our economy.  As is typical in the face of crisis, the unscrupulous are eager to take advantage.  We're hearing the "usual" reports of price-gouging and even horror stories about some landlords soliciting sex in exchange for rent. There have also been in recent weeks a flurry of warnings issued by Wall Street regulators, governors, the FBI, the IRS, and other officials about a range of scams and fraud being perpetrated across our country.

The left is completely loving this coronavirus lockdown stuff.  It gives them the opportunity to control even more of our lives than ever before. We've covered the unreasonable edicts flowing from leftist local and state governments, and now the mayors of New York City and Los Angeles are urging people to report their fellow citizens for social distancing violations and for "operating a business illegally."

Rebellion was bound to happen in Michigan. The governor there is issuing decrees that make no sense and appear to attempt to take from the people all control of their lives. This is a losing strategy in America, with our long tradition of freedom and liberty, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer is likely watching her chance to be Joe Biden's VP disappear as her diktats have enraged the population of her state.

As the Wuhan coronavirus rages across the world and our country, Americans are doing what Americans do.  We buy gift cards or take out from our favorite local restaurants. We pitch in sewing face masks for our neighbors. We play music to cheer our quarantined neighbors, shop for our elderly or at-risk neighbors, and so on. We are Americans, and we pull together in trying times like this.

Our nation's economy is being severely challenged during this nationwide Wuhan coronavirus pandemic shutdown.  Not only are people losing their jobs in jaw-dropping, heart-breaking numbers, but businesses big and small are really struggling.

As the rest of the world battles a deadly pandemic, the media elites suffer from an acute case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.  It's so acute, that they are seemingly completely focused on tearing down the president at this time of national (and global) crisis.  It's a losing strategy, but it's the only thing they can manage.

Russia's Vladimir Putin recently finagled constitutional amendments to permit him to run for two more terms (though he said that it should be a temporary constitutional change that covers only him). Now that he has effectively sewn up his position as president until 2036, Russia is finally starting to reveal more fully the extent of its coronavirus infections.  Russia is apparently still claiming that they've had no Wuhan coronavirus-related deaths.

If you're a political / news junkie like me, you have been inundated with coronavirus doom and gloom of late.  From the media's relentless TDS that has turned them into scruffy sandwich-board doomsday prophets to news of stay-at-home orders and various lock-downs, we can easily get caught up in the panic and despair ourselves.

One of Elizabeth Warren's key 2020 presidential campaign pledges was eschewing big money donors and PACs, claiming they were dangerous to democracy. Of course, this didn't stop her from transferring over from her Senate campaign big money from big donors, nor did it stop her campaign from holding big dollar fundraisers with a cardboard cutout in place of Warren herself.
