Wuhan Coronavirus Tag

You mean to tell me that China's claim of having only 80,000 coronavirus cases is probably a lie? I am shocked:
A leaked database from a Chinese military-run university suggests the country may have at least 640,000 COVID-19 cases — a figure substantially higher than Beijing’s dubious claim that it has seen just 80,000 coronavirus infections.

NYC Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot supposedly told a high ranking official she doesn't "give two rats' a**es about your cops" when a high-ranking official asked for more masks. The conversation between the two "took place as increasing numbers of cops were calling out sick with symptoms of COVID-19 but before the department suffered its first casualties from the deadly respiratory disease, sources said." The NYPD union called her a "b*tch" with "blood on her hands."

Barber Karl Manke, 77, became a star after he opened his shop in Owosso, MI, on May 4, despite Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's shutdown orders. He faced a "90-day misdemeanor and/or a $500 fine." The state requested "a temporary restraining order" because officials considered him "an immediate threat to the public." So state regulators stripped Manke's license.

The Wuhan coronavirus shutdown continues to affect the economy as another 2.9 million Americans filed for unemployment claims last week. While the number continues to decrease, it means 35 million Americans have filed claims in the past two months.

Nancy Pelosi and Democrats are once again exploiting the Coronavirus crisis in an attempt to ram through spending they would never get passed otherwise. Pelosi has been absent in Washington for weeks, but she somehow produced an 1,800 page bill with a price tag of $3 trillion dollars that reads like a progressive wish list.

Today's update starts with some very troubling news. Even though it is becoming apparent to anyone with necessary math skills, common sense, and basic knowledge of economics, several cities and regions throughout the nation are continuing to use voodoo modeling to prolong the pandemic stay-hat-home orders.
