Amid rising antisemitism and anti-Israel activism in Europe, over 3000 members of Jewish diaspora and supporters of Israel gathered in Frankfurt, Germany, for the 5th German Israel Congress this weekend. Widely regarded as the biggest pro-Israel event in Europe, the conference was attended by leading politicians, government officials, and public figures from Germany and Israel. Israel's Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan took the opportunity to urge the German government to take a tougher stance on Iran. "Germany should take a more aggressive stance against the Iranian regime," Minister Erdan said. "It was only yesterday that President Rouhani called Israel metastatic cancer. History has taught us that anti-Semitic threats from fanatical leaders, and exporters of terror who have hegemonic aspirations, must be taken seriously."

In a highly unusual ruling, one of Israel’s chief rabbis has allowed a Palestinian Arab man to be buried in a special plot, reserved for those without religious faith, in the Jewish Har HaMenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem. At issue is the decision of Aryeh Stern, the Ashkenazi chief rabbi of Israel, to enable the West Bank-based family of Ala’a Qarash (also spelled Alah Kirsh) to bury him at the Jewish cemetery as an “exception” because the “Muslims themselves are unwilling to bury him” and he was a “righteous gentile” who “showed good will” to Jews.

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation, a leading left-wing German think tank, has called off its plans to honor the Woman's March USA over allegations of antisemitism. Two leaders of the group, Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory, have not shied away from displaying their affection for notorious anti-Semite and racist Louis Farrakhan. The foundation, affiliated to Germany's ruling Social Democratic party, rescinded the award after weeks of protests from academics and researchers associated with the state-funded organisation, German newspapers report. "After careful consideration, the executive board has decided to cancel the award ceremony and the let the issue be examined by an independent entity," the foundation declared on its website.

Founded three years ago, Canary Mission is an anonymous organization that documents and exposes antisemitism and anti-Israel animus on America’s colleges and universities. By compiling online dossiers and a searchable database of the activities and the publicly-available statements and social media postings of anti-Israel activists, Canary Mission exposes the vitriolic rantings of people affiliated with the anti-Israel BDS movement, particularly on campuses.

Only days after a Trump hater massacred dozens of Jews, leftist company Ben & Jerry's has decided to announce they teamed up with the Women's March to promote a resistance themed ice cream flavor. You know, the group led by notorious anti-Semitic Linda Sarsour and others who continue to praise and adore anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan. Ben & Jerry's told the Independent Journal Review they're "comfortable" partnering with the Women's March despite their ties to Louis Farrakhan.

Following the horrific massacre of eleven Jews at a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday, liberal commentators have not only blamed President Donald Trump for the climate in which the massacre took place, but also Trump's Jewish supporters. One of those commentators was Aaron David Miller, famous for being a Middle East peace processor in the 1980s and 90s.

Yesterday, we covered the horrific mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA.  We have learned new information, including the victims' names and the state and federal charges filed against the shooter. The shooter reportedly entered the synagogue and then opened fire while allegedly shouting, “All Jews must die.”  He slaughtered 11 people and wounded at least six others, four of whom are police officers responding to the scene.

End Note: I'm putting this at the top because it sums up better than anything I've seen the reaction to the shooting from the media and the left. From John Podhoretz at Commentary:
Based on the early evidence, the shooter was not only consumed with a hatred of Jews but possessed a kind of sneering contempt for Trump on the grounds that Trump was basically a Jewish agent or a Jew-lover himself. Trump can only be blamed for the murderous Jew-killing actions of someone who thought of him that way by people who are so consumed by hatred of him that there is nothing they won’t blame him for.

The virulently anti-Jewish and anti-peace extremist organization Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) has partnered with the organization Researching the American-Israeli Alliance (RAIA) on several new projects for its undeniably antisemiticDeadly Exchange” campaign which, based solely on spurious accusations, singles out U.S. police department trainings in Israel for prohibition.

Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the British opposition Labour Party, said on Wednesday that he will recognize "the state of Palestine" should the party win the next general election. "In order to help make the two-state settlement a reality we will recognize a Palestinian state as soon as we take office," Corbyn told the delegates at the Labour Party’s annual conference. The pledged was greeted by a standing ovation and delegates waving Palestinian flags, British newspapers reported.

The head of Germany’s leading Jewish organisation criticized the use of "antisemitic stereotypes" in the school textbooks. Josef Schuster, president of The Central Council of Jews in Germany, slammed the Germany's schools and textbook publishers for doing too little to root out the problem. Many textbook illustrations in German textbooks resemble the anti-Semitic depictions from the Nazi-era newspaper "Der Stürmer," while at the same time failing to provide the appropriate historical context to the imagery, Schuster said.

The Women's March has been rocked by its association with anti-Israel and anti-Semitic figures almost from inception. In February 2017, we wrote how Convicted terrorist Rasmea Odeh co-organized March 8 #DayWithoutAWoman, and we followed up in January 2018, Anti-Israel activists attempt to hijack Women’s March – again:

For many years we’ve been documenting anti-Israel activity on U.S. university and college campuses, typically part of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement and carried out by student groups like Students for Justice in Palestine. In these prior posts we’ve described many instances when this Israel-related activism has crossed over the line into blatant anti-Jewish animus, including at schools as diverse as Vassar, Oberlin, and University of Illinois.

A 72-year-old Miami man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and attempted arson after police received a tip.  During a subsequent search, they found a storage room containing "28 containers with gasoline, sulfur powder, and potassium nitrate." Walter Stolper was facing eviction from his condo and had reportedly stated that he wanted to "kill all the Jews" in the building.  Police found "Nazi reading material and a Swastika" in Stolper's condo.

In several posts we have described how biased teaching materials about the Arab-Israeli conflict and the history and practice of Islam were used for years in the curriculum of two public high schools in the Boston suburb of Newton, Massachusetts:
