2020 Presidential Election Tag

I've been extremely fatigued the last few days. I don't think I have coronavirus because I don't have other symptoms, but it's been hard for me to sustain the energy to follow the legal proceedings that have brought to a conclusion the judicial option for fighting the election result.

Following the Supreme Court's denial of the Texas lawsuit—later joined by 17 states, New Jersey Democrat Rep. Bill Pascrell is demanding that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refuse to seat the 126 House Republicans who supported the Texas suit. LI readers may recall Pascrell filing complaints against and trying to get lawyers representing President Trump disbarred.

The Democrat/Media/Big Tech axis has decided that it is safe—now that the election is over—to inform the American people about the shady Ukrainian and ChiCom connections and influence-peddling scandal surrounding Hunter Biden and implicating 'the big guy,' then Vice President and now Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

A lot of people read a lot into Justice Samuel Alito setting December 9, 2020, as the date for Pennsylvania and its officials to respond to the Emergency Application for Injunctive Relief filed by people challenging the Pennsylvania certification. The argument was that Alito was going to let the application die on the vine, so to speak, by putting the response date the day after the federal "safe harbor" date for certifying elections, December 8.

I have received numerous requests to explain where I think things stand now in the post-election legal battles.

On December 3, 2012, Judge James T. Russell of the Nevada First Judicial District Court heard arguments on the motion to dismiss the challenge to the election results brought by Trump electors, Law v. Whitmer.

President Donald Trump's campaign filed a lawsuit (pdf) against the Wisconsin Elections Commission and others, accusing them of "unlawful and unconstitutional acts" during the recount of the 2020 presidential election. They filed this lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Division.
