2020 Presidential Election Tag

Joe Biden doesn't want people going through his Senate archives housed at the University of Delaware before the 2020 general election. Biden struck a deal that would keep the archives hidden from the public until two years after Biden leaves public life. But with the sexual assault allegation from Tara Reade, those archives have come into focus.

Joe Biden's desire to be president has lasted for at least three decades. Obviously, virtually all presidential candidates are ambitious. But we prefer their ambition to come at least partly from something more than the naked desire to be a powerful person. What about Biden's?

Actress Rose McGowan has been one of the most consistent humans when it comes to sexual assault allegations. When she says #BelieveAllWomen she means all women. McGowan once again showed politics will not influence who she believes on this topic. She tweeted that she believes Tara Reade, who accused presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden of sexual assault in 1993. McGowan also demanded Biden drop out of the race.

*Please scroll to the bottom for an update to this story* Earlier this month, the Trump campaign released a hard-hitting ad criticizing Joe and Hunter Biden's China ties. It's an ad that set the stage for the US-China relationship as *the* major campaign issue in the months to come, thanks in large part to the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak.

As far as political videos go, this one is pretty funny. Monday morning, Trump tweeted a video (not a product of his official re-election campaign) which shows "Obama" and a few other guys watching a game. During the commercial break, clips of Biden at his weirdest, the guys look at "Obama" who shrugs and goes, "what?" Obama's head is clearly superimposed on another's body in what was originally an Allstate ad.

Joe Biden doesn't have what it takes to take on Trump. He's become a sad figure as he struggles to complete sentences, keep track of his thoughts, and find words. He never should have been pushed to run for president. I covered the unfortunate series of Biden brain freezes recently in Being off center stage has helped Biden, who struggles even in friendly interviews.

While a lot of pundit claim that the Wuhan coronavirus crisis has damaged Joe Biden's campaign by pushing him off center stage, in fact being off center stage is the best things that's happened to Biden's campaign. Biden obviously had 'cognitive decline' issues -- that's not a medical diagnosis, but an observation any honest person watching him in action the past few months recognizes. He repteadedly loses track of what he is saying, has trouble finding words, and appears to read from notes in what should be spontaneous interviews.

So this has been Elizabeth Warren's endgame since it became clear several months ago that she would not win the Democratic presidential nomination. Warren stayed in the race long enough to siphon off enough support for Bernie on Super Tuesday to hand Biden the nomination. Bernie supporters called her a snake. The snake emoji became the symbol of Berner fury at Warren.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) endorsed presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Joe Biden. Warren did not receive as much hate as she did when she did not endorse Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) after he dropped out, but it looks like a "Never Biden" movement might make some waves like the "Never Hillary" people in 2016.
