Rose McGowan Tweets ‘Tara Reade is Telling the Truth,’ Demands Biden Drops Out

“Fellow citizens, use your power, use your social media voice. RISE. Tweet at JoeBiden to end his campaign effective immediately.”

Actress Rose McGowan has been one of the most consistent humans when it comes to sexual assault allegations. When she says #BelieveAllWomen she means all women.

McGowan once again showed politics will not influence who she believes on this topic. She tweeted that she believes Tara Reade, who accused presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden of sexual assault in 1993. McGowan also demanded Biden drop out of the race.

Tara Reade

The Intercept published a clip from CNN’s Larry King Live in 1993 with Tara Reade’s “mother alluding to ‘problems’ her daughter faced while working as a staffer for the then-U.S. senator from Delaware.”

Reade confirmed to Fox News that her mother, Jeanette Altimus, was on the phone. From the clip:

“Yes, hello. I’m wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington? My daughter has just left there, after working for a prominent senator, and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him,” the caller says.

“In other words, she had a story to tell but, out of respect for the person she worked for, she didn’t tell it?” King asks.

“That’s true,” the woman responds before King cuts to a panel to discuss her claim.

McGowan has defended Reade since the allegations came out. She blasted her old costar Alyssa Milano, who all of a sudden is hesitant to #BelieveAllWomen now that her man is in the crosshairs:

McGowan ripped Milano for being “a fraud” and called out her former “Charmed” co-star for inconsistency based on her past advocacy against the Supreme Court nomination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh after he was accused of sexual misconduct.

“This is about holding the media accountable. You go after Trump & Kavanaugh saying Believe Victims, you are a lie. You have always been a lie. The corrupt DNC is in on the smear job of Tara Reade, so are you. SHAME,” McGowan blasted the actress.

Then she criticized The Washington Post:

McGowan further stood up for Reade nearly two weeks ago when she slammed The Washington Post for one of its articles headlined “Sexual assault allegation by former Biden Senate aide emerges in campaign, draws denial.”

McGowan made it clear she felt the article didn’t do Reade justice, calling it a “hit piece” that involved “victim shaming.”

“As a survivor, the way you launched into this woman’s assault is truly vile,” McGowan added. “Your motto is ‘Democracy Dies in Darkness’ well I guess it’s dead because you are dark. Evil lives and it loves the DNC [Democratic National Committee].”

The Post reported that Reade “did not mention the alleged assault or suggest there was more to the story” when she previously told the paper Biden inappropriately touched her neck and shoulders and has said she “twice voted for the [Barack] Obama-Biden ticket.”

Here are a few more tweets:

Demands Biden to Drop Out, Calls Out Supposed #MeToo Allies

On Saturday night, McGowan demanded Biden drop out of the presidential race.

She told Biden he “MUST STEP DOWN. STOP SNIFFING AND F*CK OFF.”

Then McGowan threw her anger towards the leftist females who have bitten their tongue over the allegations:

F*ck you to .001%c f*ck you to women’s groups, Gloria Steinem & f*cking take ass Oprah, f*ck you. All of you crow about your bravery yet you do nothing, @NYT even sat on Reade’s interview/interrogation til Biden became the presumptive nominee.

McGowan encouraged Reade not to stop, “no matter what scorch the earth.”

We wrote about the numerous women who told their stories when Biden inappropriately touched them or made them feel uncomfortable.

Biden sort of acknowledged these instances a few times:

Biden’s campaign denied the allegations, but Biden himself has not personally denied it. Two interns confirmed, “Reade was abruptly demoted,” but the campaign has not addressed this issue either.

“Believe everybody who belongs to (insert identity group)” is an absurd stance whether politics are involved or not.

True, and a misandrist one, but at least one can say it’s consistent and thus has integrity. Like someone who always, always, always trusts her Magic 8-Ball™, or the first flip of a coin.

But is she really that consistent, or is it just that so far convenience has always come out on that side? What if these allegations had instead been made against Sanders, or against whichever clown in the car really spoke to her heart? (Of course if that clown was a woman and the allegation were made by a man she’d be consistent in disbelieving it, and if it were made by a woman she’d be free to choose which one to believe, or maybe she’d have to believe both, which might be a bit difficult.)

They just have to get Biden out of there. Can you blame them? They do whatever they have to do. Seth Rich is unavailable for comment.

Due process, I am sick of me too crap, Biden may be a sexual predator, but I find it hard to believe that this ugly hag is in much demand. I also have big problems with claims made decades after the fact. If these women want to be believed, then they better start filing complaints in a timely manner.

Rose “Who?” McGowan sounds like the quintessential “one-issue” voter.

I hope Tara Reade is ready for the attacks she is about to experience. The DNC will open up every talking head on CNN and MSNBC to attack her personal life, her past history, etc.

She should talk to the women who accused Slick Willy and what they lived through.

Perhaps Ms. McGowan is consistent on the issue. Fine. I don’t know her. But I just wish that Hollywood people would SHUT UP about their politics. I’m tired of hearing it.

They’re often good at their real job, which is entertainment. Sometimes, they’re great at it. But now I can’t go to see a Robert DeNiro movie without remembering how much he hates me and my country. I can appreciate James Woods because I agree with him, but he’d still be a terrific actor even if I had no clue about his politics.

Please, Hollywood: If you want to be lunatics, Commies, and America-haters, knock yourself out. But SHUT UP ABOUT IT, and stop turning every movie and TV show into propaganda.

Years ago, SNL (?) did a skit about a Hollywood writer’s strike wherein the actors were directed to ad lib with no pre-written lines. The dialog was predictably terrible as the 2 actors effectively died on screen for lack of a script …

I tend to hold my memory of that skit in my minds-eye every time I hear some Hollywood celeb open their pie hole and pontificate about issues …

Yeah, but the problem with “Shut up and sing” is that the song is usually some old communist anthem or other woke nonsense.

Same goes, mutatis mutandis, with movies and other arts.

If only their tweets were the only place these people spouted their politics…

I’ll give her credit for consistency but #BelieveAllWomen is still a misandrist disregard of the presumption of innocence and the rules of evidence.

This woman is completely crazy.

But, like the proverbial broken clock. she’s right twice: on biden and weinstein.

Just get Biden on dimwittedness. Embracing #MeToo is a huge mistake.

He may have fingered the lady but the lady’s part isn’t so clear. If there’s no immediate police report, she’s ambivalent about it, and only later made up her mind.

If a street bum had done it to her, she’d have reported it right away to the police.

She’s flattered by celebrity attention, ambivalent. Legally, being able to change your mind later isn’t supposed to be an option. The guy gets no clue at the time for what is normal courtship ritual, no matter how clumsy Biden may be.

It’s not a double standard problem, it’s that it’s not a standard at all, to give the lady the option of deciding later that she’s been assaulted. She tends to maximize her personal psychological profit at the expense of the guy she ought to have been sending signals to.

it’s that it’s not a standard at all, to give the lady the option of deciding later that she’s been assaulted.

You haven’t been following the news very closely. The new evidence is that she did not “decide later”, she knew it goddamn well at the time.

      rhhardin in reply to tom_swift. | April 27, 2020 at 3:44 pm

She has to lay down a marker with a police report at the time. Otherwise she’s playing it. No good just telling friends. That’s another status play.

A broken clock is right one to three times a day, with spring ahead and fall back in the mix.

The truth is what I believe it to be. Sorry, but making yourself judge and jury with Biden is no different than making yourself judge and jury in the Kavanaugh case. Both positions are wrong, but that is the relative moral judgment in this day and age.

Barry in reply to JgT of FL. | April 27, 2020 at 3:13 pm

I’m not seeing anyone here making their selves “judge and jury”.

Rather, they are noting the difference in reaction to Biden vs Kavanaugh, when in the Kav case there was zero evidence the woman ever met Kav. And noting that Ms. McGowan is at least consistent in her mistaken belief all women should be believed.

Milhouse in reply to JgT of FL. | April 27, 2020 at 5:40 pm

Objectively you’re right, of course, and if this were another candidate I’d say even the new evidence is not enough to disqualify him. After all, even contemporaneous accusations are often bogus.

But Biden made his bed when, for fleeting partisan advantage, he threw his lot in with #BelieveAllWomen. Now he must lie in it.

She’s crazy, but at least she’s consistent.

    Consistently crazy.

She inserts herself into the public discussion because she wants attention. (She’s an actress, after all.)

She carries the right message, but she is the wrong messenger.

Give her a platform, and we’ll see what unrelated madness she will advocate. Next, she’ll run for congress. She’s easily as qualified as the idiots in the ‘squad’, if not more so.

Conservatives need to tread carefully. Biden, like Kavanaugh, is entitled to the benefit of the doubt and should be judged on the evidence presented. As satisfying as it may be to see Biden get the Kavanaugh treatment, an accusation shouldn’t constitute proof of wrongdoing. If we go down that road, we’ll never again confirm a conservative judge—there’s a bottomless pit of liberal liars out there who will accuse every conservative nominee of everything under the sun. This is, of course, fun to watch. But the only principled stance is to treat every allegation with respect and act on the allegations only if there’s supporting evidence.

Milhouse in reply to Disgusted. | April 27, 2020 at 7:52 pm

But I would say Biden is not entitled to the benefit of the doubt, or to be judged on the evidence, because he forfeited that right when he joined the lynch mob on Justice Thomas, and more recently on Justice Kavanaugh. In my opinion he should be estopped from claiming to be innocent, even if he knows himself to really be innocent.

I can see your point, but evidence (or lack thereof) is not the issue. The evidence against Kavanaugh was exactly zero, yet that did not stop the MSM/DNC axis from proclaiming him guilty of rape and perjury. Conservatives repeatedly pointed this out to the media, and it made no difference whatsoever. The Kavanaugh hearings were a political lynching, and failed only because Democrats could not muster enough votes for a necktie party.

We are facing the mirror opposite situation with Biden: he has (so far) escaped being Kavanaughed because he has a “D” after his name. Biden’s fate will be decided by nothing but political expediency. If the MSM/DNC axis decides that Biden will cost them the White House and the Senate, then he will be gone yesterday. If not, no amount of evidence will be able to dislodge him from the top of the ticket.

And as for future conservative judicial nominees being subjected to “innocent until proven guilty” smears, the future is already here. If Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s replacement is nominated by a REPUBLICAN President, then the Kavanaugh debacle will look like a love-fest.

Reading Twitchy earlier today. Interesting bit about Kama la la (kind of like Kama Sutra only oilier). Wonder if jill will pick her to be her running mate (joe is out of it).

Rose does nothing to change my opinion of liberal feminazis. Going crazy? Cut your hair short. Get lots of tattoos and piercings. Swear at everyone and everything. A lot. Make all sorts of demands generally involving destruction. A lot of destruction. Be angry and depressed. All. The. Time. There really doesn’t seem to be any variations to the feminazi style book.
