2020 Democratic Primary Tag

How bad is the current crop of candidates for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination? So bad that a recent Harvard/Harris poll shows Democrat primary voters rejecting the current slate of candidates and selecting as their top pick someone who is not even in the race. Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was their top choice.

Failed Democratic Georgia governor nominee Stacey Abrams still yearns for the spotlight she grabbed last year. Instead of glossing over her goals, Abrams admitted that she wants the Democratic nominee to pick her as the vice president. She also ranted against the Electoral College and America's supposed racist system.

The history of Elizabeth Warren's political scandals is that she initially releases only the information she thinks people already know. When doubt is cast on her story and the controversy doesn't disappear, she tries to get ahead of the issue with an information release which is incomplete. When even more doubt is cast, Warren repeats the tactic.

Democrat presidential hopefuls Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT), both lowly millionaires, have taken aim at late entrant former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg (D-NY) for being a billionaire. This is so ridiculous on its face that Bloomberg all but dismisses it by noting that any of the current crop of Democrats vying for their party's 2020 nomination will be "eat[en] up" by President Trump.

Since 2012, we have covered Elizabeth Warren's years representing large corporations against the interests of employees and others Warren now claims to champion. Warren likely earned millions of dollars in compensation, but never has disclosed those amounts. Indeed, our research led the way, with even The Washington Post recently crediting us for unearthing Warren's legal representation of Dow Chemical against women claiming damages for breast implants.

Is there something in the air? First Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi barks at a reporter. Now 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful former Vice President Joe Biden went ballistic on an audience member in Iowa who asked him about Hunter Biden's role at Burisma Holdings.

Given how completely out of left field the leading 2020 Democrat presidential contenders are, it's become somewhat common to see Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, as a moderate.  Perhaps when compared to socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and fringe leftist Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), he is a moderate. But that's still miles from the center where ordinary Americans tend to reside.

Democrats rant and rave against money in politics, especially so-called "dark money." A few reports have emerged about a few little-known groups that have funneled millions into political races and fights to prevent President Donald Trump's appointments. It looks like a lot of this dark money helped the Democrats take back the House in 2018.
