Germany wants to introduce a "mosque tax" for German Muslims to fund mosques and Islamic religious activities. The measure proposed by the lawmakers of Chancellor Angela Merkel's coalition aims to win the loyalty of Muslim clerics who receive generous funding from Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.

One key part of the so-called Steele Dossier on Donald Trump was a reference to Trump lawyer Michael Cohen attending a summer 2016 collusive meeting in Prague to seek Russian help for Trump's campaign. It's something Cohen repeatedly has denied, including under oath. Cohen not only denies such a meeting, he denies EVER having been to Prague. While Cohen has been prosecuted for some lies under oath, he has not been charged -- so far -- with lying about Prague.

The Washington Free Beacon is a super fab site for many reasons. Somewhere at the top of that list is their neverending ability to troll the heck out of internet-made celebrities who are almost always completely lacking in self-awareness. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). However, the poll didn't include former First Lady Michelle Obama. Professor Jacobson blogged yesterday that early polling shows Michelle dominating Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

I know the news tends to be slow at the end of the year, but this is ridiculous. CNN reported that troops may have violated Department of Defense guidelines when they asked President Donald Trump to sign their Make America Great Again hats. Or maybe the troops just wanted to get their commander-in-chief's autograph and who knows when they'd have another opportunity to get it?

The death toll from Indonesia's Christmas-time tsunami continues to rise, as officials warn that additional volcanic landslides could trigger more deadly waves.
At least 429 people died, more than 1,400 were injured and another 158 are missing as of Tuesday morning, more than two days after the wave came crashing ashore on the northwest coast of Java, one of the large islands comprising the country, officials said.
