Among New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's leading political enemies is the National Rifle Association. Long before the Parkland Shooting and the national movement to pressure companies to sever ties to the NRA, the NRA was battling Cuomo's absurd gun control legislation, the so-called SAFE Act. That legislation had to be partially rewritten because, among other things, it would have exposed police to criminal liability and effectively banned most pistols because of the limitation of magazines to 7 bullets.

Following the Parkland shooting that left 17 people dead, the Broward County School District commissioned an independent review.  The review, conducted by the Collaborative Educational Network of Tallahassee, found that the shooter was inappropriately denied special needs accommodations at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

India and Israel are cementing bilateral cooperation in technology with the launch of a $40 million joint research fund. The 'Israel-India Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund', or I4F as the project is formally known, was kicked off at a ceremony in India's capital New Delhi last week.

Senator Cory Booker appeared at the Netroots 2018 conference. Netroots is the annual gathering of far-left ("progressive") activists. For presidential hopefuls hoping to generate buzz among the base, Netroots is a must. This year Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker were among the speakers.

Following Hillary Clinton's second failed attempt to win the presidency, a few leftwing pundits ventured the opinion that the Democratic Party should reconsider putting all of its eggs in the identity politics basket.  That didn't last long, however, and the left clumsily embraced "intersectionality" in the form of #TheResistance.

Has-been talk-show host and former actor Rosie O'Donnell is trolling President Trump. Reports are circulating that O'Donnell, whose only claims to fame in recent years are allegations of illegal campaign donations and divorcing her wife, will be joining some protest at which gaggles of #Resistance protesters will sing Broadway tunes in the general direction of the White House.

Comparing a sitting president to Hitler is the new normal. Sarah Silverman unofficially kicked things off by dressing as Der Fuhrer on Conan O'Brien's TBS couch two years ago to hammer home that ugly message. Since then, President Donald Trump has been called Hitler countless times by newspapers, pundits and especially celebrities. That's when stars aren't comparing Trump to a murderer.

Just a few weeks ago, Democrats were vowing to do whatever it takes to keep Judge Brett Kavanaugh from being confirmed to the United States Supreme Court. They played to their base by dialing the rhetoric up to ten, as usual. Now it looks like that effort is beginning to fade.
