It appears that Fox News will not give in to the David Hogg, Media Matters and #TheResistance driven faux outrage over Laura Ingraham's mild rebuke of Hogg as someone who "whines." That faux outrage has been used to intimidate advertisers into fleeing Ingraham's highly-rated program. Fox News co-President Jack Abernathy just released this statement (via L.A. Times):

The Supreme Court just handed down a police use-of-force decision, Kisela v. Hughes (pdf.)(full embed at bottom of post), the most notable characteristic of which is the gutting of a typically nutty Ninth Circuit court of appeals ruling and a typically silly dissent by Sotomayor (joined, unsurprisingly, by Ginsburg). The legal issue in play is whether a woman who was shot by a police officer should be permitted to sue that officer personally.

Monday morning, Trump unleashed a round of tweets blaming Mexico and the Democrat party for contributing to America's Dreamer crisis, picking up a thread he began Sunday on the same subject. DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), the controversial policy created extralegally by President Obama, was rightly kicked to the legislature to legally codify protections for individuals who were brought to the U.S. as children without any legal immigration status.

There is an all out assault in progress trying to drive Laura Ingraham off television and radio, led by Parkland student and newly-minted media star David Hogg. Ingraham is a target, superficially, because she mocked Hogg as a whiner in a tweet after he publicly griped that several colleges had rejected him. On the scale of internet insults, saying that someone is "whining" doesn't even register it's so mild.

The lack of a fair and due process for men going through campus sexual assault disciplinary processes has been a frequent topic here. We long ago warned of these Kangaroo courts for men on campus, resulting from a directive from the Obama Department of Education. That directive has been jettisoned by the Trump Education Department, but many schools still cling to it because ideologically the campus culture presumes that there is a "rape culture" and that men are aggressors.

The usual suspects on the left are melting down because the U.S. Department of Commerce has reinstated the citizenship question to the 2020 census.  You know the drill, this move is racist, xenophobic, tyrannical, and even, according to California's attorney general, illegal. The left is frantic because they are worried that illegal aliens will not fill out the 2020 census and as a result Democrat-held urban areas—where large numbers of illegals are concentrated—will lose out to more rural areas.  Rural areas tend to be more conservative and to vote Republican.

Happy Easter to our Legal Insurrection family. You may recall that we reviewed the ratings bonanza that was the Roseanne revival, which owed part of its success to airing something other than social justice pablum. However, the success should not have been a shock to ABC, as its programmers have always relied on the appeal of the biblical epic of Cecil B. DeMille's 1956 version of The Ten Commandments.
