Brian Leiter's Law School Reports website, run by U. Chicago law professor Brian Leiter, isn't a high traffic site, but it does have a following among people interested in the law professor profession. So it is not surprising that some Legal Insurrection readers also read Leiter's website. Several of those readers contacted me today about a guest column by USC Professor of Law and Accounting Michael Simkovic about me and other conservative law professors. I don't know who Simkovic is and never heard of him before.

This is perfect. Bad Lip Reading is one of my favorite things on the internet, so I was thrilled to see they finally got around to Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg's hearing before joint Senate committees. If you're not familiar with their work, BLR dubs over movies, sports and political clips with their own randomly synced script. They never disappoint.

Last Friday, the GOP on the House Intelligence Committee released a report that found no collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump's campaign. That same report found that former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper leaked information about the dossier authored by Christopher Steele, which is also the force behind the Russian investigation, CNN and may have lied to Congress about it. Clapper told CNN last month he didn't leak information about the dossier to the media. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said this is not true and Clapper lied to Congress.

A new Reuters poll shows that millennials have started to move away from the Democrat party. While the Democrats tout environment and social justice as key draws, the millennials who spoke to Reuters want mainly one thing: a stable economy.

Reports indicated "Israeli intelligence uncovered a huge amount of new and dramatic information on the Iranian nuclear program." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a public announcement at 1:00 PM ET to discuss these findings (or as much as can be made public) and indicated he shared the intel with the US. Mossad managed to obtain a half ton of original documents germane to Iran's nuclear program. Incredibly. Documents revealed Monday explain how Iran continued nuclear weapons development using different organizations.

West University Place councilwoman Kellye Burke was charged with disorderly conduct after she yelled obscenities at a Trump shirt wearing teenage girl. It's worth noting that Burke is also a Mom's Demand Action activist. The girl and her friends were waiting in line at a bake shop when Burke yelled, "Grab her by the p**** girls!" and "MAGA!" repeatedly, according the girls.

Republican Tom Reed represents NY-23, the congressional district that stretches in the Southern Tier of upstate New York along the Pennsylvania border from Corning to Lake Erie in the west. The District includes liberal Ithaca, which before 2010 was in the heavily gerrymandered 22nd District contorted in a snake-like manner to keep far-leftist Maurice "Red" Hinchey in office. After 2010 redistricting, which was done by the judiciary in New York, Ithaca moved to the new 23rd District, which is mostly rural and conservative.

We previously reported how Food & Wine magazine honored Reem's Oakland restaurant despite Reem's glorifying convicted terrorist murderer Rasmea Odeh with a large wall mural in a prominent place in the restaurant. Please see the prior post for background on Rasmea's murder of two Hebrew University students in an 1969 supermarket bombing in Jerusalem, her conviction for immigration fraud and deportation from the U.S. in 2017, and how the owner of Reem's, Reem Assil, has tried to shut down protests outside the restaurant, Food & Wine mag honors Reem’s Oakland restaurant, ignores wall-sized mural of terrorist.

Despite the knowledge that a growing number of Americans deem the media untrustworthy and consider much of what is reported as #FakeNews, the leftist and mainstream media just can't seem to help themselves. They are whipping themselves into a frenzy over an NRA flier and further exploiting the Parkland shooting in their attempt to create a sense of what they feverishly—and falsely—claim is the NRA's hypocrisy.

California's citizens are busy collecting signatures and submitting ballot proposals so that they can change the laws created by the Democratic Party-dominated state legislature. Groups had been hard at work to repeal the onerous gas tax that has been in place since last November. They managed to collect enough signatures, which will mean the proposition to repeal will be on the ballot in time for the state's gubernatorial election this November.
