Former Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) lashed out at his opponent failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for not doing anything about Russian interference despite having the knowledge and also pushed back that he knew Russian bots backed his campaign. His campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, also told Politico that he has never seen evidence that Russian bots supported Sanders.

Democrat Sara Jacobs, 28, has the opportunity to become the youngest congresswoman, but she has come under fire due to her "crusty, old Marine" comment she made during an interview. She denies it was toward her opponent, but even then, it doesn't bode well for her since the 49th district, which she wants to represent, has the West Coast's largest Marine base.

Under Trump, the left has decided that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency is an evil organization. The agency has existed since 2003 but progressives act as if it was born after election day in 2016. Rutgers University in New Jersey recently held a public service and government jobs fair. Student activists calling themselves "RU Dreamers" successfully got ICE to drop out of the event.

On February 19, 2018, the majority Democrat members of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court imposed a new congressional district map that was very Democrat friendly, likely swinging 4-5 seats to Democrats. It could be the difference between Democrats taking control of the U.S. House or not in the 2018 midterms. The map became so Democrat-friendly after a series of decisions as to placement of boundaries that helped Democrats. Nate Cohn at The NY Times described it this way:

Wednesday morning, The Hill published a story entitled, "Texas school district threatens to suspend students who protest gun violence". Except it's a statement that wildly mischaracterizes the story by omitting a key piece of information.

Russia mania has infected the minds of many otherwise rational adults, which has to be the only explanation for this godawful "report" by CNN. Tuesday night, CNN posted a video of reporter Drew Griffin harassing an elderly woman, at her own home, mind you, over her pre-election Facebook activity. Griffin alleged Florine Goldfarb's Facebook group was unknowingly interacting with Russian trolls (those cited in the recent DOJ indictment).

I had a wonderful time in Memphis, Tennessee, during my Presidents' Day weekend stay. The people were charming, the barbecue was outstanding, and the Memphis Pyramid was a joy to behold. There were a few things the streets of Memphis were lacking: Used needles and human excrement. For those treasures, you have to head over to my home state of California and the city of San Francisco.
