Bill Nelson, the Democrat Senator from Florida, seems to think the gun control debate is going to help his party in the midterms. Gun control is normally a loser issue, but you have to understand that when Nelson says 'gun control debate' what he really means is the coordinated smear campaign against Republicans and the NRA that began with CNN's town hall event.

United States lawmakers Scott R. Tipton (R-Colo) and David B. McKinley (R-W.Va) were stopped and questioned by Israeli police on the morning of February 22nd while they were visiting the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. According to media reports of the incident (see, for example, here and here), Tipton and McKinley were detained by Israeli officers guarding the site after the Waqf—the Jordanian-funded Islamic Trust that administers day-to-day activities there—brought to their attention that one of the congressmen had apparently taken an olive branch that he had found lying on the ground while touring the place.

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel just admitted on Jake Tapper State of the Union that he knew of reports Deputy didn't enter school at time of CNN town hall forum in which he mocked and berated the NRA and Dana Loesch. Israel said he didn't mention it during the forum because he was waiting for investigators to confirm the reports. Here is the specific exchange:

One of the most astounding aspects of the politics after the Parkland school shooting is how quickly a small group of student leaders and a large number of leftist groups backing them focused on the NRA. The CNN three-ring circus event in which thousands of people jeered and shouted at Dana Loesch was one of the low points in an already low political theater. Meanwhile, the facts have come out proving that this shooting could have been and should have been prevented without a single change in the gun laws.

The last time we visited the San Diego area at Legal Insurrection, all eight border wall prototypes had passed extensive security tests. The first contact for the border wall has been awarded, and work on the project has begun.
The federal government began work Wednesday to replace a section of border wall in California, the first wall contract awarded in the Trump administration outside of eight prototypes that were built last year in San Diego.

House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff (D-CA) released his memo that he claims counters the GOP memo on the FBI and DOJ using a dossier with unverified information to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump's former campaign member Carter Page. Except...it doesn't. In fact, it also confirms that the agencies used the dossier to obtain that warrant.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's first official visit to India is grabbing headlines for all the wrong reasons. "Why India is being really rude to Justin Trudeau," lamented Washington Post in an opinion piece. "There seems to be no end to the Indian snubbing of the Canadians, even as the Trudeaus are trying their best to disarm the Indians with a charm offensive," the newspaper continued. Indian Prime Minister Modi remained conspicuously absent during his Canadian counterpart's eight-day visit to India.

The numbers for carbon emissions are in for nations across the globe and prove irrefutably that...President Trump was right for withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Accord. Two years after the historic agreement was signed, global emissions of carbon dioxide are rising again after several years of remaining flat.
