The Washington Free Beacon broke the story revealing the donors of the anti-Trump "resistance." The donation list is revealing on a number of levels.  It shows the extensive, spider-web interconnectivity of a network of leftist radicals and organizations, and it shows how they ensnare major corporations into financially supporting their radical, anti-American aims. The list includes the usual suspects like George Soros and some suspects new to the political activist realm, namely, the NFL players' union who were happy to join Soros in his latest astroturf efforts, manufacturing the appearance of wide-spread anti-Trump "resistance."

This is one of those stories that just has me shaking my head. While it's true that AIDS no longer is an automatic death sentence, it's still deadly. In 2014, the last year for which I could find data, 6,721 died directly from AIDS, and there are tens of thousands of new infections. That's why the Red Cross prohibits people with HIV from donating blood, and screens blood donations:

Satanic Verses author Salman Rushdie tackles gender reassignment surgery in his latest book, The Golden House.  Satanic Verses earned Rushdie a fatwa from Iran's Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini, and while the left isn't calling for Rushdie to be murdered for his latest heresy, they are decidedly unhappy with the Golden House. In this novel, Rushdie reportedly tackles the left's reckless push for younger and younger children to undergo sex change treatments, even surgery.  He does not approve. Rushdie, it should be noted, was not only anti-Trump during last year's presidential election but a proud #ImWithHer fanatic.

James Woods is one of only a handful of outspoken conservative actors in a Hollywood filled with Harvey Weinsteins, Ashley Judds, Debra Messings, and Mark Ruffalos.  So when his realtor announced, mistakenly as it turns out, that he was retiring from Hollywood, the news spread like wildfire. In an article entitled, "James Woods says he is retiring from acting and selling one of four Rhode Island homes after claiming no one wants to hire him because of his 'conservative political views'," the Daily Mail reported:

Not surprisingly, the political left is claiming there is an inherent racism in not calling Stephen Paddock, who murdered 58 people with rifle fire from the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, a terrorist. This tweet by Glenn Greenwald pretty much sums up the claim that the darker your skin, the more likely you are to be called a terrorist:

A small group of students at UC Berkeley recently protested a midterm exam. They accused the professor of not checking his privilege and seemed angry at other students for not siding with them. They were clearly trying to tie the situation to race and immigration but the whole thing was so ridiculous that no one was taking them seriously. Ian Miles Cheong reported at the Daily Caller:

Yesterday, Kemberlee wrote a super post about Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein and the myriad allegations of decades of sexual abuse, intimidation, and harassment of actresses, production staff, and apparently any female within arm's reach. From reports of Weinstein demanding naked massages from women to actually masturbating in front of women over whom he wielded immense power, Weinstein's decades of sexual perversion make the Trump Access Hollywood tape that outraged Democrats and the mainstream media look like a feminist manifesto.

French police have charged three men with "attempted murder in an organised group in connection with a terrorist enterprise" after they found several gas canisters placed in an apartment block in Paris.  It's not clear why the canisters were not detonated or why an apartment complex was targeted. The Times of Israel reports:
Three men have been handed preliminary terror-linked charges in the failed attack at a residential building in an upscale Paris neighborhood with gas canisters that failed to ignite. The three, identified as Amine A, his cousin Sami B, and Aymen B., were charged late Friday with “attempted murder in an organized group in connection with a terrorist enterprise” and placed in pre-trial detention, a judicial source said.

Just thought you'd want to know about some technical changes you'll never see or know took place, that help keep this place running. We recently converted from "http" to "https". This should eliminate the warnings in search engines that our address is not secure. What prompted the move was not just those annoying warnings, but also an alert from Google:
