The way in which sexual misconduct on college campuses is investigated often puts the accused, usually men, in horrible situations. We have written many times about these "kangaroo courts." Sometimes tragedy follows. We recently covered a tragic case in Texas:
Student in Texas Commits Suicide After Trial by Kangaroo Court This is such a sad story. To make matters worse, it’s all just based on accusations. Nothing more. Ashe Schow reports at Watchdog:

Shortly after his inauguration, President Donald Trump signed a series of executive orders, including one that led to a complete halt in the hiring of federal workers with few exceptions. There has been a slight melting in that freeze, as a more tailored approach is implemented.
Mick Mulvaney, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, described the new stay on hiring as a more "surgical" freeze than the first.

With increasing frequency, many on the left have taken to declaring the words and actions of President Trump and his supporters to be useful propaganda tools for ISIS. Seemingly a knee-jerk reaction — consistently accompanied by little or no evidence demonstrating its truth — cries of “THIS IS WHAT ISIS WANTS” ring out when the political right embarks on a course of conduct that is less than agreeable to the left. In the past, we’ve seen this charge leveled when Republicans were reluctant to take in more than 10,000 refugees from war torn Syria, when President Trump issued travel restrictions on seven middle eastern countries via Executive Order, and even when Republicans speak in a way that rubs the left the wrong way.

Some of you may be aware that the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) has licensed my book, "The Law of Self Defense, 3rd Edition."  They've added their own cover, and a foreword by their CEO, Tim Schmidt, but otherwise it's the same book.  I'm also a member of USCCA's Legal Advisory Board (LAB). USCCA is currently offering "The Law of Self Defense" as part of a package with their own excellent book, "Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals" and several instructional DVDs at a very steep 50% discount.

President Donald Trump has decided not to release White House visitor records, breaking from former President Barack Obama. The Wall Street Journal reported:
Under President Donald Trump’s policy, formally announced on Friday, the U.S. Secret Service will maintain visitor logs only for certain executive branch offices, including the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Those logs won’t be regularly released, but rather will be subject to requests under federal open records laws.

Yesterday, the military dropped a MOAB bomb on an ISIS tunnel in Afghanistan. The left freaked out over possible civilian death and injuries. (Weird, I remember their silence when Obama dropped 26,000 bombs last year alone) But Afghan officials said that the bomb did not kill any civilians. From ABC News:
Thirty-six ISIS militants were killed but no civilians died when the U.S. military dropped the "mother of all bombs" on a cave complex in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Though Obamacare was designed to force the American health insurance system into a single payer model, the free market has found a workaround. A growing number of practices are working directly with uninsured patients or with patients forgoing insurance benefits for a better price tag. Health insurance premium hikes, ridiculously high deductibles, and scant coverage make for-profit specialist shops all the more attractive.

A favorite chant of anti-Israel students on U.S. campuses is "Long Live the Intifada." The First and Second Intifadas were marked by extreme violence directed at Israelis, with suicide bombings being the hallmark of the Second Intifada. It was the suicide bombing campaign starting in 2001 during the Second Intifada, masterminded by the likes of fugitive from U.S. justice Ahlam Tamimi, that led to the building of the security barrier (in some places a wall, in most places a fence). That security barrier, which anti-Israel activists libelously call the "Apartheid Wall") was in important factor in ending the Second Intifada, but not before almost 1000 Israelis were killed.

A mob of ten students beat Pakistani student Mashal Khan to death on the Abdul Wali Kahn University campus and injured another identified as Abdullah. They accused him of "sharing blasphemous content on social media." Reuters reported:
A group of about 10 students shouted "Allahu Akbar" during the attack on fellow student Mashal Khan, who was stripped naked and beaten with planks until his skull caved in as other students looked on, video obtained by Reuters showed.

After the healthcare reform failed before it even reached the floor, President Donald Trump wanted to move onto tax reform. But he recently told The Wall Street Journal that he wants to return to healthcare:
Three weeks later, he said he is determined to resurrect the health-care bill even if it means delaying the tax overhaul, telling The Wall Street Journal in an interview: “I want to get health care done…I think I will get it done.” The tax overhaul, he said, would have to wait.

Looks like President Trump's dropping of the MOAB might have had an even bigger impact on Morning Joe than it did on ISIS. In March, the show was in full Apocalypse Now mode about President Trump. Take this excerpt from my item of March 6th: "Joe and Mika waxed apocalyptic, claiming the country is 'in crisis' and questioning President Trump’s 'stability.' At one point, Mika even seemed to choke up as she said, 'this is really a dark time which could get worse.'” Cut to today, when, in the wake of foreign policy success on the Russia, China, Syria and Afghanistan fronts, Morning Joe's tone on President Trump has changed radically. There was praise across the board, from Joe, Mika and Willie, as well as from regular guests David Ignatius, John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.
