Mack Beggs, a 17-year-old junior, began the transition from girl to boy two years ago; the transition includes supplements and shots of testosterone that some feel gave Beggs an advantage.  Beggs competed for and won a Texas state girls' wrestling title. The Washington Post reports:

Booed and bloody, Mack Beggs dropped to his knees to celebrate. He was, after four wins and two days and all the rest, a state champion.

A video of a woman on a bike getting revenge on men cat calling her from a van has gone viral. It got millions of views on Facebook and YouTube. But it has now been revealed that the whole thing may have been staged. The Telegraph UK reports:
A viral video of furious cyclist taking revenge on catcalling van driver 'was staged' viral video of a female cyclist ‘taking revenge’ on a catcalling van driver was staged, an eyewitness has claimed. It shows a van driver verbally abusing the woman before she later gets revenge by ripping the motorist’s wing mirror off.

In May of 2015, the Obama administration engaged in one of its more shocking and unacceptable power grabs with the EPA's Waters of the United States rule.  President Trump, thus far clearly intent on keeping his campaign promises, is going to reverse this onerous overreach of the federal government as early as Wednesday. Writing at the time of the rule's announcement, I noted that the scope of the rule was such that it included, quite literally, puddles in one's driveway or yard.

The White House Correspondents Association annual dinner is referred to by the members as "Nerd Prom." Is there possibly a more annoying title in the world? They are not nerds. But they do think of themselves as being smarter than their readers and viewers. It's a disgusting spectacle of insiders patting insiders on the back, and the in-the-know crowd rubbing of self-important elbows. Inevitably, "conservative" correspondents hoping to be accepted into the fold attend. Philip Bump of WaPo nailed it with this 2015 post, ‘Nerd Prom’ is a gross, self-congratulatory name for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Stop.:

An Indian Muslim group has called for the beheading of Canadian author and broadcaster Tarek Fatah. Fatah, a prominent critic of Islam, had recently started hosting a talk show on an Indian news channel.

The Muslim organisation, All-India Faisan-e-Madina Council, placed a bounty of 1,000,786 Indian Rupees on the head of Fatah for opposing required Burqas and other Sharia practices oppressive to women. The number '786' in the bounty refers to the numerical value of the Quranic verse "in the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most beneficent". So much for the mercy and beneficence.

Democrats and the progressive left have a propensity for using children as political props to push for everything from carbon taxes and gun control to illegal immigration and transgender bathrooms.  There seem only two domestic issues that the left refuses to consider in relation to children:  abortion and the national debt. Hillary used children in her "role model" ad against then-presidential candidate Trump, and now NBC News has compiled a video entitled "Dear Mr. President" in which they present children expressing their fear of President Trump. This anti-Trump ad hard-hitting news segment, however, is being called out as propaganda.  Mostly because it is.

President Trump has been meeting with business leaders regularly since his inauguration, including a meeting this week. These sessions cover a wide array of topics and grew out of Trump's December announcement of an advisory panel on manufacturing.
“Today we have 24 CEOs from the largest manufacturing companies in the country and even in the world. They represent--people in this room--nearly $1 trillion of sales and two million employees, large majorities of which are in the United States. They share our commitment to bring manufacturing back and to create jobs in this country,” Trump said.

The first month of Trump's presidency has highlighted marked divisions in public opinion that have been building for many years. Do you remember Obama's 2004 DNC speech? It had a dramatic effect on many listeners, and helped to set him on the road to the eventual presidency.
