At the memorial service for the police officers slain in Dallas, President Obama made a stunning statement on the availability of guns and the ease with which they can be obtained. The Washington Free Beacon reported:
Obama Again Claims Handguns Easier for Teens to Buy Than Books President Obama repeated a claim Tuesday he has previously made that some teenagers can more easily purchase handguns than computers or books during his speech at a memorial service for five Dallas police officers murdered last week.

Want to see a textbook example of the kind of thinking that leads to the fall of civilizations? View the video of Richard Haass, President of the Council Relations on today's Morning Joe. A clip was played of Donald Trump favoring a declaration of war and repeating his call for the restriction of Muslim immigration, in particular Syrian "refugees," that we know little or nothing about. A hand-wringing Haass argued against "cutting down immigration" and other measures, because "our connections with entire populations and communities, our best measure of defense is making sure that people in these communities are working with us rather than threatening us." So according to Haass, we shouldn't defend ourselves against terrorists entering the country by restricting the immigration of Muslim "refugees" about whom we know little or nothing. Why? Because doing so would incite Muslims already in the United States and lead to them "threatening us." If that is so, our problems are even more serious than we have realized. If the Muslim population in the US is a tinderbox, on the brink of "threatening us" if we try to defend ourselves, why were they admitted in the first place? And whatever additional threat they might pose if we do adopt sensible measures, shouldn't the first thing we do be to limit the ability of more such volatile people to enter our country? Haass' attitude, which as you'll see is seconded by Mika Brzezinski, is the passive, self-disarming road to the decline and ultimately destruction of our nation and civilization.

Democrat presumptive presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's poll numbers have slipped after she escaped charges for her emails at the State Department. A New York Times/CBS News poll shows that 67% of voters do not find Clinton "honest and trustworthy." In a month, she lost her 6% lead over Trump in the CBS News poll, which now puts them dead even.

Have you noticed that many of Trump's critics accuse him of things he hasn't done yet but which other people have actually done already? The latest example comes from the presumptive Democratic nominee who warns President Trump could use the IRS to target his enemies. Imagine that. Allahpundit of Hot Air notes the irony:
Hillary: Can you imagine electing a vindictive man who might … send the IRS after his critics? You know what? I can imagine it. Pretty vividly, actually. Right down to the names of the “hypothetical” IRS officers involved.

Though the official announcement is not scheduled until tomorrow morning, Roll Call reports Donald Trump has selected Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running mate.

An upcoming startup event promises to bring hundreds of Israeli and Indian entrepreneurs to collaborate in creating healthcare solutions for India. India's largest startup incubator T-Hub has tied up with Pears Foundation to organise the first ‘India-Israel Med4Dev Hackathon’ from July 22nd to 24th, 2016. The organisers expect more than 150 binational teams to participate in the startup event that takes place simultaneously in Tel Aviv, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Pegged presently at $100 billion, healthcare is one of the biggest and the fastest growing sectors in India. The two-trillion Asian economy is growing at a rate of 8 percent per annum. India's growing middle has created a huge market for modern and efficient healthcare. The healthcare sector in India is projected to reach $280 billion by 2020.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, affectionately named by liberals "Notorious RBG" for her sharply worded judicial opinions lacerating conservative principles, is a liberal intellectual hero and giant. She is adored and worshipped as incorporating intellectual finesse and dignity in comparison to conservative Justices, Republicans, the Tea Party, and most of all, the person liberals regularly compare to Hitler, Mr. Donald J. Trump. So how to describe what liberals must be going through today, as Notorious RBG is forced by public opinion and editorial Boards at places such as The NY Times and USA Today to recant and retract her attacks on Mr. Donald J. Joe Scarborough couldn't have been kinder as he slid the shiv into Mike Pence this morning. The opening segment of Morning Joe was devoted to the veepstakes, and Scarborough politely trashed Pence while making the case for Chris Christie. Scarborough went out of his way to praise Pence as an "able leader" and someone he likes. But he proceeded to say that Pence wasn't "ready for prime time." Joe broke out the deer-in-headlights metaphor and analogized Pence to previous running-mate "disasters." On the other hand, Joe argued that Christie is someone who has been on the national stage, capable of destroying Marco Rubio with one debate, and who is best equipped to prosecute the case against Hillary Clinton.

In April I wrote about Israeli tour guide Kay Wilson, originally from Britain, and American tourist Kristine Luken, Britain outraged by Palestinian payments to terrorists “who left this British woman for dead”:
I don’t know Kay Wilson. But I’ve seen her on social media, both Facebook and Twitter. She frequently makes reference to how she was carved up and butchered by Palestinians, but harbors no hatred of Palestinians. Israelly Cool has extensive archives on Kay Wilson. I never really knew her story, though. But that story is in the news in Britain as part of the British coming to terms with their role in supporting terrorism against Jews in Israel through financial aid to charities and the Palestinian Authority.... Kay Wilson is in the news because The Daily Mail has an extenstive write-up on her story, and how the terrorists who butchered her are being paid by the Palestinian Authority while in prison, a common benefit bestowed on those who murder or maim Jews.
Accompanying Wilson that day was Luken, exploring the Christian roots in the Holy Land. Luken did not survive.

I don't know a ton about Boris Johnson. He's the former Mayor of London, is very pro-Israel and hates the BDS movement, led the Brexit campaign only to withdraw from contention to be Prime Minister, and was just appointed Foreign Minister (okay, "Foreign Secretary") in Theresa May's new cabinet. And he has a mop of blonde hair. He obviously has some wit, as in a 2007 column in The Telegraph newspaper in Britain, wherein he described Hillary Clinton in terms we all can appreciate (emphasis added):
"She's got dyed blonde hair and pouty lips, and a steely blue stare, like a sadistic nurse in a mental hospital ..."
Sounds like he was channeling Rush Limbaugh, who made the comparison just a couple of months earlier, Mrs. Clinton Plays Nurse Ratched: Hillary Clinton Nurse Ratched

John Heilemann, co-host of Bloomberg TV's With All Due Respect, surely leans left, but is generally a savvy political analyst in my book. But Heilemann went haywire with his prediction today. He suggested that violence in the streets of Cleveland would hurt Donald Trump's chances of being elected president. Really? If there are, as Heilemann said,"images of chaos and disorder" in the streets, wouldn't Americans tend to turn to Trump, who has cast himself as "the law and order candidate?" And violent anti-Trump protesters, whether or not they expressly say so, would be in essence urging people to support Hillary, not Trump. Are Americans likely to reward Hillary for the violent actions of her, at the very least, tacit supporters? Just as Trump's numbers went up when unruly protests shut down his rally in Chicago during the primaries, violence at the RNC would likely benefit Trump, in this Insurrectionist's opinion.

The UN's Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) has found during their nine month investigation that the organization simply ignores corruption when it comes to light. The investigators found that UN officials remain in a "state of near denial" about this corruption:
“The report is pretty devastating,” observes Brett Schaefer, an expert on U.N. finances at the conservative Heritage Foundation. “The U.N. apparently has very little interest in policing fraud, and there is very little reason to believe its own figures and data about it.”

Hillary Clinton has never adequately explained her decision to use an alternate and insecure email system. Her initial excuse (wanting to use one device) turned out to be untrue, and people have speculated ever since on the real reasons. But no one---not even Hillary herself---has ever offered a possible reason that was altruistic. Unlike the case of Jason Brezler, in which his motive was decidedly selfless.

Two Los Angeles based U.S. Marines wanted to capture Pokemon on Tuesday, but instead caught a man wanted for attempted murder. Javier Soch, 26, and Seth Ortega, 24, started their hunt at 9AM when they noticed a man bothering a woman and her sons at a playground when Soch's game froze:
The man appeared odd, wearing a mismatched outfit with an oversized jacket and a baseball cap. He held an artificial rose in his hand, Ortega said. At some point he snapped his fingers and appeared fidgety.
