Trump Derangement Syndrome Tag

A hot topic in the Legal Insurrection comment sections has been whether the insane/deranged/lunatic/vicious/malicious reaction of Democrats and the open-borders left to Trump's generous DACA/Dreamer amnesty framework was part of some three-dimensional chess play by Trump. In that scenario, Trump offered what he knew never would be accepted in order to make himself look good and his opposition unreasonable: Amnesty for 1.8 million 'Dreamers' plus immediate family reunification, in exchange for funding of border security and The Wall, and an end to extended family chain migration.

Rep. Maxine Waters of California has made an industry out of opposing Trump. Her constant calls for Trump's impeachment has earned her the nickname "Auntie Maxine" from hordes of progressive youngsters. She won't be offering the official Democratic Party response to Trump's state of the union address (more on that in a moment), but she will be offering her own response.

According to its website, New York City's Guggenheim Museum "collects, preserves, and interprets modern and contemporary art, and explores ideas across cultures through dynamic curatorial and educational initiatives and collaborations.". Therefore, when given the opportunity to send a Vincent Van Gogh piece to display at the White House, so First Lady Melania Trump could demonstrate American support for classic art, the representatives at the Guggenheim behaved in the professional and exemplary manner that you would expect from the New York City art world:

Arizona Republican Senator Jeff Flake had a very important speech planned for this week. It was so important that he distributed excerpts to the media over the weekend and appeared on ABC News Sunday to build up interest in the speech. The speech was mostly blah blah blah except for the one thing that garnered all the headlines Sunday. That something special part of the speech was simple.

Sorry, Trump-haters, but according to Trump's doctor, the president is a picture of health and could live to 200! Turns out a subsisting on Diet Coke, burnt steak, and McDonald's is the way to go.

In this time of rampant Trump Derangement Syndrome saturating formerly credible news outlets, it's become the norm to expect the media to lie intentionally about President Trump. While it does not appear that the Wall Street Journal was lying intentionally, it has become clear that they (willfully?) misheard a quote from the president and then ran with its implications in a full article.

In the wake of Representative John Lewis (D-GA) announcing he would not attend President Trump's inauguration, more than 50 Democrats refused to attend.  Now three Democrats, so far, are refusing to attend the president's State of the Union (SOTU) address on January 30th. The first to announce his intention of skipping the President's first SOTU was Representative Earl Blumenauer (D-OR).  His announcement was made early this month.

During immigration legislation negotiations, Trump singled out Haiti, El Salvador, and a handful of African countries, describing them as "shitholes," or so claimed the Washington Post. Their bombshell intel came from people who were not in the meeting but later briefed on the contents of said meeting, making their source on par with a game of telephone.

In her post "Bannon v. Trump v. Bannon," Kemberlee laid out the latest White House drama that has the left salivating at the thought of managing to undo the 2016 election. The drama started, as Kemberlee wrote, with an "article published in The Guardian Wednesday lifted passages from a new book ‘Fire and Fury’ by Michael Wolff. Bannon was quoted heavily in the book, calling the infamous Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous'." One star of this latest batch of leftist hysteria has been White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.
