ESPN has been struggling recently, and one of the problems it is facing is its political partisanship.  ESPN's president, Jimmy Pitaro, has been at the helm of ESPN for five months, and one of his goals is to refocus ESPN on *gasp* sports.  To that end, outspoken leftist Jemele Hill has been bought out of her contract. Hill, you may recall, was quietly moved off of Sports Center for tweeting that President Trump is a "white supremacist."

The word and thought police have reached brand new levels of crazy. Professional race car driver Conor Daly has lost a sponsorship because his father reportedly uttered a racial slur in the 1980's.  To put this in some perspective, Conor wasn't born until 1991, yet he is paying for the sins of his father. I had to double-check this report to make sure it wasn't satire, but sure enough, Conor's dad allegedly said the "N" word more than thirty years ago, so Lilly Diabetes has pulled its sponsorship of his son's No. 6 car in the NASCAR Xfinity race at Road America.

We're all working hard to understand the very special SJW language of the regressive left.  Apparently, this special language makes "jokes" out of racism against white people because privilege, and we just don't get the funny.  We aren't sufficiently "woke" to see that we are a blight on the planet. The regressive left has encountered an entirely new beast now: a black female democrat racially slurring an Asian female democrat.  The mind boggles.  We can almost hear them scrambling to make sense of this in their bizarre SJW-land where intersectionality is the rule of the day and racism is the purview of those "fascist" white supremacists.

Last August, I reviewed conservative pundit and film maker Dinesh D’Souza’s book: The Big Lie – Exposing the Nazi Roots of the American Left. His latest film is based on The Big Lie as well as his most recent book,  Death of a Nation: Plantation Politics and the Making of the Democratic Party. The result is the recently released movie, "Death of a Nation": Can We Save America a Second Time?".

In the wake of the controversy surrounding New York Times hire Sarah Jeong, Vox writers busily composed articles defending Jeong's racist rants.  Apparently, there's a whole other "social justice" language that makes her racist tweets not only acceptable but not racist at all. There was so much twisting of logic and SJW semantic gymnastics that Cal State sociology professor Bradley Campbell put together a nifty chart to help us understand the finer points of microagressions versus Orwellian SJW babble.

Former White House spokesman Sean Spicer did a book signing in Middleton, Rhode Island this weekend. Plenty of fans showed up to buy his book and have it signed but so did a gaggle of obnoxious leftists. Nothing will be allowed to be enjoyed, if progressives have anything to do with it.

In a marketing stunt that has garnered a lot of attention, Burger King rolled out "Chick Fries" to demonstrate the unfairness of the "Pink Tax."  The problem?  There is no "Pink Tax." The issue they are foregrounding is yet another of the seemingly endless stream of silly complaints the regressive left has taken up as a "the" most important socio-cultural inequity: the production and sale of products that are identical in every way other than that they are pink.  The pink items, those marketed to women, purportedly cost more "42%" of the time . . . because sexism.

San Francisco has a public hygiene crisis of epic proportions, but city officials would rather focus on crappy laws instead of excrement-covered streets. It is so bad that San Francisco's new mayor London Breed recently told a local NBC affiliate that she's never seen as much human feces piled on the sidewalks as she did during a recent stroll through the city.

The left has always been crazy about street theater as a form of protest, especially if it involves do-it-yourself costumes and props. In the age of Trump, and more specifically Mike Pence, progressives have latched onto the Hulu series the "Handmaid's Tale" which imagines a dystopian future where women have lost many of their rights.

Democrats and leftists continue to demagogue illegal alien "family separation" as if it is something that just started under President Trump.  They've gone so far as to call for #AbolishICE, despite strong public and Congressional support for the agency. Now their situation becomes even more dicey as their hysterical narrative is threatened. Border control agents report that increasing numbers of children are being used by illegal aliens as a "commodity" to avoid long-term detention.  The children are not arriving with their own parents, but are being claimed as such to Border Control.
