President Donald Trump signed the H.J. Res. 43 bill that allows states to deny funds to clinics like Planned Parenthood that provide abortions. The Senate passed the bill last month when Vice President Mike Pence cast the tie-breaking vote.

Planned Parenthood recently opened their new D.C. headquarters office. Built in an old auto shop, Planned Parenthood's new digs cost $19.7 million to build and was funded by private donations (all the more reason America's largest abortion purveyor doesn't need federal monies, but I digress). The Washingtonian took a tour of the "swanky" new office concluding "the Carol Whitehill Moses Center is the most thoughtfully designed of all the organization’s facilities nationwide." Judging by the photos (taken by Stacy Zarin Goldberg), you'd think you were in a swanky library or Google headquarters, not an abortion mill. And that was intentional.

The Democrat Attorney General Xavier Becerra of California has invented a new crime: Performing Undercover Video Journalism While Not a Democrat. Of course, he didn't call it that. Nor did his predecessor, now U.S. Senator Kamala Harris, when she launched an investigation of the undercover video operation to expose alleged fetal body part sales by Planned Parenthood. That investigation resulted in 15 felony charges that were just announced, as we covered the other day, California’s AG Charges Undercover Reporters Who Exposed Planned Parenthood Baby Part Selling.

Tuesday, California's Attorney General slapped two undercover investigators from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) with a whopping fifteen felony charges. CMP instigated a Congressional investigation when they exposed Planned Parenthood's baby part selling. Today, the 9th circuit granted the National Abortion Federation (NAF) a gag order, demanding the CMP cease publishing undercover videos featuring footage from their conferences. Those shown negotiating baby brain prices in the videos have yet to be charged, making quite clear California's AG (a former Democrat state house member) was politically prompted to levy a long litany of charges.

Late Tuesday night, California's Attorney General charged David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt with a whopping fifteen felonies. Daleiden and Merritt, by way of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), released several horrifying undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood officials negotiating the price of aborted baby parts. California is a two-party consent state, meaning both parties in any recording must consent to be recorded. 14 of the 15 charges are for recording confidential conversations without consent. The last is for conspiracy to commit a felony by recording private conversations at a conference. Placing the two-party consent nonsense on hold for a moment, Daleiden and Merritt made two errors through the course of their investigation, one of which was omitted from the charges levied against them.

Having shown her true colors in calling Tucker Carlson a "bow-tying white boy" in 2012 and running unsuccessfully for DNC chair because, as she told Tucker in January, “we don’t need white people leading the Democratic party right now,” Jehmu Green again tangled with Tucker last night. This time the subject was Planned Parenthood, and Green did not do well.  To put it mildly.  Not only was she incredibly rude, shouting over Tucker, but she also kept trotting out the same tired leftist lines we've heard for decades and know to be untrue and illogical.

To listen to Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards on today's Morning Joe, you'd think her organization was mainly about "health care" for women—not about being the nation's largest abortion provider. As you'll see in the video clip, Richards manages to mention "health care" seven times in her interview with Mika Brzezinski. The word "abortion" only passes Richards' lips twice. The first time, to insist that the federal government doesn't pay for abortions [as if the federal funds PP receives aren't fungible], and the second to claim that to reduce the abortion rate, more access to PP should be promoted.

This is the best ad Planned Parenthood, the country's premier abortion purveyor, has ever made. "A Grateful Mom" released a few days ago tells the story of Adeline, a woman who went to Planned Parenthood for an abortion. When she arrived to have the baby removed from her womb, she was so distraught, the abortion doctor told her to go home, think about it, and reschedule. But she never rescheduled. Instead, she became a mother and is thankful she chose life. And yes, this is a Planned Parenthood ad.

Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan is challenging Nancy Pelosi for minority leader in the House. He promises to take the party national, from it's current West Coast and Northeast regional party status. He also threatened a "Youngstown street fight" if Republicans try to defund Planned Parenthood:
Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) on Sunday said Democrats will try to work with the incoming president but will push back if he doesn't keep his promises to the middle class. "If he tries to defund Planned Parenthood, if he tries to kick people off their health insurance, if he tries to privatize Medicare and cut taxes for the wealthy, we are going to have a 'Youngstown street fight' in the Capitol," Ryan said on CNN's "State of the Union."

A Texas court has dropped the remaining charges against the pro-life activists who caught Planned Parenthood officials on tape selling baby parts. David Daleiden, 27, said:
"The dismissal of the bogus, politically motivated charges against [Center for Medical Progress] project lead David Daleiden and investigator Sandra Merritt is a resounding vindication of the First Amendment rights of all citizen journalists, and also a clear warning to any of Planned Parenthood's political cronies who would attack whistleblowers to protect Planned Parenthood from scrutiny," Daleiden said in a statement.

Over the years I've chatted with many a woman who was ardently pro-abortion until 1) they became pregnant or 2) they learned what actually happens during an abortion procedure. Pro-life group, Live Action, is utilizing the latter scenario -- showing pro-choicers how babies are ripped to pieces during an abortion. Dr. Anthony Levatino, a former abortionist, explains what happens during the most common type of second trimester abortion (13-24 weeks of pregnancy), dilation and evacuation (D&E). Live Action stopped men and women on the street to show them Dr. Levatino's account (he has a great story of his own), and not one of them left as resolutely pro-abortion as they were before seeing the video. Many changed their minds completely.

I would like to introduce you to California Attorney General Kamala Harris, who is running for the U.S. Senate and hoping to take the seat occupied by Barbara "Don't Call Me Ma'am" Boxer. I would like to say that Harris, who is both the likely nominee and ultimate November victor, will be an improvement over the pugnacious pixie. But I can't.

With demand down and red states limiting the amount of taxpayer monies going to fund abortion, abortion clinics are closing across the country.  Friday, Florida became another state to cut abortion funding when Governor Rick Scott signed into law a bill that would cut state funding to clinics that perform abortion. The Orlando Sentinel reports:
Planned Parenthood and other health clinics that provide abortions in Florida will go without taxpayer funds and face increased regulations for the procedure, under a bill signed Friday by Gov. Rick Scott. . . . . The law, which takes effect July 1, requires doctors performing abortions to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, requires annual licensure inspections for clinics and bans the purchase, sell or transfer of fetal remains. The law upgrades the failure to properly dispose of fetal tissue from a second-degree misdemeanor to a first-degree misdemeanor.

In the wake of the horrifying revelations about Planned Parenthood, the nation's governors are moving to defund or severely restrict funding to the nation's top abortion provider. Ohio governor and 2016 presidential hopeful John Kasich joins ten governors, including Wisconsin's Scott Walker, Texas's Greg Abbott, and Kansas's Sam Brownback, in taking a stand against our tax dollars going to fund abortions and the other questionable practices revealed last year. The Alliance Defending Freedom announced this morning that Kasich signed into law an Ohio bill that severely restricts taxpayer monies going to "abortion businesses such as Planned Parenthood."

Wisconsin is trying to take measures to deal with illegal immigration and sanctuary cities. Naturally, detractors are describing the initiatives as racist and anti-immigrant. As a result, thousands of protesters showed up at the Wisconsin capitol yesterday, reminiscent of the anti-Walker protests of several years ago. Here's what it looked like in 2011, in case you've forgotten:
