Planned Parenthood Tag

Planned Parenthood of New York will remove founder Margaret Sanger's name from its Manhattan clinic due to her history in eugenics. The New York Times provided quotes from people stating that Sanger was a racist and viewed birth control as a way to stop minorities from reproducing. The publication also did not mention the fact that Planned Parenthood will continue Sanger's mission. Ironically, the article reminds us that Sanger purposely placed her clinics in minority communities.

Vice reporter Carter Sherman revealed that Planned Parenthood had asked her two times to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) at a happy hour for the media. The abortion organization asked her to sign one in 2018 when Sherman covered its Power of Pink volunteer training event. This second NDA rightfully upset Sherman, who informed Planned Parenthood she planned to call them out on their agreements with reporters. Now the organization has scurried to clear up this apparent "misunderstanding." (Please note the sarcasm)

The Supreme Court upheld an Indiana law that required a burial or cremation of an aborted human being, but decided to provide an unsigned opinion on the portion of the law that bans abortion based on sex, race, and disability. Vice President Mike Pence signed the bill into law in 2016 when he served as governor of Indiana. Justice Clarence Thomas issued an opinion in support of the Indiana law on abortion restrictions due to eugenics using abortion as a form of eugenics on minorities.
