British MEP Daniel Hannan delivered an electrifying take down of the central tenets of the Occupy movement during a debate about the movement at the Young Britons’ Foundation this week.

Hannan described the bank bailouts, which have led to a landscape now filled with “zombie banks, crawling malodorously with their bandages hanging...

I told you on Monday, when I announced that I was joining both the NRA and EFF that

The Tea Party movement has more in common with the hacktivist community than either side wants to admit.

That common ground is not expansive.  The Tea Party movement certainly is not...

Discovered in the email archives from November 2011, from frequent photographer Ulises:

Dear Prof.,

I was in Philadelphia yesterday and ran into the OccupyPhilly crowd around city hall. This sign caught my attention, because it seems to have been left there from a Tea Party rally…

Regards,

Chanting “si, se puede,” Occupy Congress protesters in Madrid, Spain, are in a standoff with police as their all-day protest of austerity measures has now continued into the evening.

A livestream of the events shows clusters of police in riot gear attempting to hold back the crowd of “indignants,” with reports that...

Today marks the one-year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, a movement born of disaffection, a surface-level distrust of the political and financial establishment, and more than all that together, ennui.

To mark the occasion, what is left of the group is once again taking to New York City’s streets. So far, reports...

I’ve been documenting the presence of the Chicago Teachers Union at non-education-related, radical protests over the past year. From Occupy to Anarchist, gay pride, and anti-NATO protests, the union deploys its members not on the basis of “for the children” but rather for political solidarity.

On the first day of the strike...

Why aren’t we running hard on the Democrats support for the Occupy movement?  At least as hard as they are running on Todd Akin?

One person is, Karen Harrington running against Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (via The Shark Tank):

I am now willing to classify Anne’s video of the taunting of the street preacher in Chicago as “viral’ now that it has reached over 186,000 views on YouTube.

But I think we can do better.

I happen to know that Anne really was hoping for 250,000 views.  We don’t want to disappoint...

Yesterday, I posted a video of a group of Chick-fil-A “Kiss-In” protesters mocking an elderly homeless street preacher in Chicago on Friday evening. Many commenters have asked for additional information about the man and the scene.

In walking around the small protest area, I saw the homeless man reading the Bible out loud. He was not...

The disappearance of a 16-year-old minor named Becky, last seen with Occupy Chicago members, is being treated by Occupy internally with secrecy and without informing police, according to a report released yesterday from EAG News:

On June 19, a leader of Occupy Chicago contacted fellow travelers with this alert, titled “HELP: Missing...
