Chicago Police Department website appears hacked (NATO protest photos added)

The website for the Chicago Police Department is down today, the apparent victim of hackers who may have timed the hit in conjunction with the first day of the NATO Summit.

I’m heading for the protests, and hopefully will have photos and a report later.

Updates by WAJ — appears website back up and working.

CHANGE OF PLAN — PHOTOS AND PHOTO UPDATES MOVED TO NEW POST, Chicago NATO protest photos.

If this was hacking, this is not juvenile hijinks.

It is an attack on public safety, and should be dealt with as such.

Be careful and don’t take a shower so you can blend in better.

Don’t forget to take along some sunscreen and Febreze.

Dress to blend in with a Mao or Che shirt, and take along a large thuggish-looking friend to watch your back. If they’re an off-duty police officer, all the better. And be careful.

So…anti-racist Collectivists beat up racist Collectivists.

Not good, as it means a lot of by-stander and property injury.

They should have taken it out to the street and battled, a West Side Story of violent anti-racists and racists.

Attacking people, no matter how repugnant, while they eat dinner is cowardly.

The “anti-racists” have become progressively worse than the “racists.” This would explain why the New Black Panthers are still walking free, despite their recent public calls for the streets of America to run red with blood, and the “Justice for Trayvon” mobs injuring and killing Whites (not Hispanics) with near impunity after receiving support from Obama and Holder. The so-called “civil rights” businesses have exploited this situation with extraordinary dexterity. A very profitable enterprise indeed.

Excellent. I’m always up for a good Zombie-esque photo report.

Remember all those legal observers at Tea Party protests? Yeah me neither. Totally crazy we didn’t have a team of lawyers handy given how violent we all were.

Oh, there were LOTS of lawyers at TEA Party protests…in the crowd, holding signs.

We weren’t there as observers, but participants.

Good for you, Anne! You are a better woman than I, we live a half hour from the city. We left Dodge for the week, I wanted nothing to do with Chicago during NATO. Stay safe!

I thin we should all agree right here and now to stop calling simple DDoS attacks “hacks” it gives the /b/tards over at 4chan (and the rest of the Anon. Crowd) to much credit.
Anyone can download the LOIC now and takedown a website. It’s the interwebs equivalent of TPing a house.
