UPDATE: Authorities have arrested the illegal immigrant they suspect murdered California cop Ronil Singh. From Fox News:
The illegal immigrant fugitive wanted in the murder of a California police officer is in custody Friday after being on the run for more than two days, Fox News confirms. Police arrested the man near Bakersfield, about 280 miles southeast of Newman, where Police Cpl. Ronil Singh was gunned down early Wednesday. The arrest was confirmed by the Fresno County Sheriff's Office and Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Earlier this week, Kemberlee blogged that Mattis was resigning at the end of February.  You can read his resignation letter here. The timeline has been changed by President Trump, however, and now Mattis will be leaving his position as Defense Secretary as of January 1, 2019.  The current Deputy Secretary of Defense, Patrick Shanahan, will become Acting Secretary on January 1st.

On December 21, 1988—30 years ago today—Pan Am Flight 103 dropped from the night sky killing 270 people, including all 259 of its passengers and crew and 11 people on the ground in the small town of Lockerbie, Scotland, which lies 120km southwest of Glasgow. It was the deadliest terror attack ever on UK soil.

Few fruits are as popular in "green" California as the avocado. However, in Great Britain, some restaurants are banning the tasty delicacy from the menu in the name of "sustainability".
The Wild Strawberry Cafe, on Peterley Manor Farm in Buckinghamshire, shared a post on its Instagram page earlier this week explaining why it had decided to ban avocado from its kitchen.

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has become a target of the left for her efforts to reform former President Barack Obama era rules dealing with sexual assault on college campuses. She has been falsely accused of favoring the accused for simply advocating due process over kangaroo courts. Liberal feminist law professor Lara Bazelon agrees with DeVos.

Monday, actress Mareli Miniutti requested a restraining order against estranged boyfriend, Michael Avenatti. Avenatti is the fame-lusting attorney who represented porn actress Stormy Daniels. Miniutti alleges Avenatti called her an "ungrateful bitch" and forcibly removed her from his apartment, leaving her legs and back scratched up.
