After the first Democratic presidential debate in June, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) became a top contender. She successfully broadsided frontrunner Joe Biden over his remarks about busing and working with segregationist Senators in a moment that was clearly staged, and landed a body blow that helped her campaign funding and poll numbers rise. But while we political junkies were anxious to find out if we'd see more fireworks between Harris and Biden in Round Two Wednesday night, something unexpected happened.

2020 Democratic presidential hopeful former Vice President Joe Biden has come out swinging a week before the second debate. Biden's numbers suffered a bit after the first debate, especially after Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) brought up his history working with segregationalists. That will not happen the next time around as he vows to "hit back" against any attacks. It also helps that he will go into this debate with just as strong poll numbers as the first debate.

NBC News released a hit piece on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) on Monday about slave owners in his family history since he stands against reparations. This is not journalism. This is not reporting. NBC News can legitimize (sort of) if the network investigates every senator's family. Something tells me the reporters will not take that action because they will find information about President Barack Obama and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA).

Well, y'all, it finally happened. Several weeks after talking about how he was able to work with segregationist Senators in the 1970s, and just a couple of weeks after he was dramatically confronted by Sen. Kamala Harris (CA) at the Democratic presidential debate about his comments, Joe Biden has finally broken down and apologized.

After last week's presidential primary debate, Joe Biden was widely seen as the loser after a bruising back and forth with Sen. Kamala Harris (CA) over his recent comments on working with segregationist senators and his past opinions on forced busing. He's already lost a top fundraiser but remains at the top of the pack in polling even though his numbers have slipped slightly since Thursday.

Oh for the love of everything on this planet. Not everything is about race and your sex. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), who hasn't even hit double digits in primary polling, lashed out at the media because they supposedly only pay attention to the old white males. From Politico:
“There has been a lot of conversation by pundits about ‘electability’ and ‘who can speak to the Midwest?’ But when they say that, they usually put the Midwest in a simplistic box and a narrow narrative, and too often their definition of the Midwest leaves people out,” Harris said in an opening salvo during the trip. “It leaves out people in this room who helped build cities like Detroit. It leaves out working women who are on their feet all day—many of them working without equal pay.”
